3d does work in Side by Side mode through the software that comes with capture card research is your friend!!!

Can't imagine it'd be clear when upscaling low res to a high res tv. Unless the capture device has some magical filter technique.

It's fairly pixelated on larger displays. You can get some of the effect by using a DS emulator and setting it at a higher display resolution--the native resolution won't scale, so all you see is the original resolution stretched up.

You can use filtering however which cleans image a little. No worse then original Wii in my books. And far bigger and better selection of game then wiiu
