Dekopon - (Mostly) Fullspeed 3DS Emulation on Nintendo Switch

I have tried to load two 3DS roms and I have got Error Code: 2168-0002(0x4a8) using version 1.2.1. The roms were Legend of Zelda A Link Between Worlds and Super Mario 3d Land. Is there something that I need to do or change to get these to work with an error? Both roms are in .3ds format.

Update: Decided to try full access mode instead of just Applet mode and this fixed my issue.

Would be nice if you could just force a Shade Compilation at the start of the game. Every new object, new room, new animation, etc. Seem to have a shader for them. Shader Compilation in the bottom left corner pops up and the screen stutters.

Awesome work otherwise!

Update:

I closed and reopened a couple of times. The 2nd time upon loading Zelda. The shader compiled automatically, but then the game loaded and it stuck at 1307. Closed and loaded it once more. Loaded the game without compiling the shader cache. Maybe I am just inpatient atm and need to sleep. Going to bed!

New hotfix just released to fix the introduced crashing issue: https://github.com/PalindromicBreadLoaf/dekopon/releases/tag/v1.2.2

Also includes a new screen layout for those interested.

Crash resolution 1x with custom texture pack took almost the same amount of time as it did for the previous program to crash.
If you would be willing, could you replicate this crash on the latest release and send me both the dekopon.log file and the atmosphere crash dump?
Tested MGS snake eater 3d again on the newest build, and the emulator crashes whenever you fire a gun.
This should hopefully be resolved now.

You have to use application mode to launch anything. The ~500MBs of RAM and on JIT access for applets just means nothing at all is going to work. What do you mean it got stuck at 1307?

im planning to request this overlay the second screen, but you already added it. this is perfect on some rpg games that use map.

radiant historia + texture mod + 1 button quick swap screen + overlay layout = near perfect experience.

all is left is optimization on some parts like fmv and cache. tnx again.

Hi! Making tests since this got out. Thank you very much. Now, my petition (and haven't seen anybody talk about it):

-Could you please add some screen gap? at least on the sideways screen mode? Some games respect very strictly the gap that the 3DS (and DS) has and so, without the gap, things look kind of awkward.
I know is something minor and we can live without it, but it's something that I haven't noticed somebody else talk about. Hope it's not much hassle. (If it is already there, please excuse my dumb mind. Haven't found it.)

-Castlevania Mirror of Fate runs very poorly. I hope that in the future, more and more little bits of enhancements are implemented!! I love to think that you haven't reached the roof with this wonderful program.

Thank you again!!

Pokemon omega sapphire still occasionaly random crashes even with the hotfix. Mostly after 10-15 min. There is also a fps drop when entering/exiting battle. Mario luigi superstar seems to work better now.

Does it show the Switch error screen when it crashes? If so, could you share the atmosphere crash report with me so that I can look into what's causing it?

Yeah first few times just froze and crashed, and the last 2 times it gives a switch error screen.

You aren't playing with a texture pack on, are you? Also you have new3DS mode off, correct?

No texture pack only cheats. It's turned on. Overclocked with sys clk.Native 1x, Vsync is off, shader comp on, shader cache on, hardware shader on, texture filter anime4k, linear off, integer scaling off, cpu 200%, cpu jit on, custom and dump textures off.

Will try it with new3ds mode off.

Why is CPU at 200%? Unless you are running mods that need higher than stock clocks, that should stay at 100% else you are just losing performance. new3DS should always be disabled unless you are running a new3DS title, as it'll also just waste performance. If turning new3DS mode off fixes your issue then I know exactly what the bug is, so I hope it doesn't crash anymore for you.
