People like you are more annoying than the pirates. You love to march around, pounding your chest and, for no reason at all, constantly announce to everyone that you don't steal.

Honestly, what exactly was the point of proclaiming how law abiding you are to a bunch of indifferent strangers?
Is your ego so huge and your self esteem so low that you felt obliged to inflict your self-righteous, judgemental crap on the general community?

Are you so oblivious that you don't even realise that you've just tarred all of us with the same broad brush, even though you don't know a single thing about any of us?

Protip: Nobody cares what you think, or how you play with your little toys.

Yes...exactly.. I felt so unimportant and have such low self esteem that I came in here and did all that.....not......I don't even know why I bother. People will attack others with different views no matter what.

Acc. to me it work this way:
1. 3DS detects Nintendo Zone
2. If it has a new soft (6.2 i higher), is sending StreetPass data.
3. Data are sent to Nintendo server and saved together with Nintendo Zone IP.
4. If anybody else connects from same IP, he will receive these saved data and his data will be sent to the server.
Cycle repeats.

Supposedly it works like that... Can't we set-up our routers to go through a VPN (or some other solution) to make it look like all the "entries" are from the same NintendoZone point and exchange streetpass data across the globe this way?

Ok i performed the new update (took me a while because i have Imenu on it so every update that says "dstwoupdate" i have to rename it "ds2update") but i don't know if it works yet. I dont really wanna update to 6.2 cuz it doesnt interest me.

It sucks, I also have only original games but I use flashcards to run emulators and watch DPG videos(specially to watch videos).

I think if Nintendo make an upgrade or official flash cards to play videos could be a great idea.

It works. DSTWO's firmware update to 1.21 makes it run on 3DS system menu 6.2.0-12. Tried it, for the very first time in my life, on the 3DS.

Broken screens and hinges doe

op probably wont see this but...

DS Lite can run without the top screen attached.that way you can use it as a dandy Game Boy Advance player.

its a ridiculously simple mod, just connect 2 points on the board to a simple LED. THAT'S IT!

i dont have the link, but just google "DS without top screen"

Tested. It is working.
But only locally. Means you can make yours Nintendo Zone. When your 3DS (with soft 6.2) will catch it, your StreetPass data will be saved. Next 3DS which will catch this Zone will receive StreetPass with your data and his data will be saved. And cycle is repeating. I not confirmed yet how much time must pass to be able to have next StreetPass with same hotspot (expected 8 hrs).
Problem is that to have this really working you need to make your hotspot public and people with 3DSes must catch it.
I have 3 3DSs so I want to give it a try so... could you explain to me how it is done please? Thanks in advance!

yeah i'm interested in that too, i tried yesterday but couldn't find how

You should know that DSi supports WPA in all DSi programs, eShop included. WEP is needed for old DS games only. Newer games (like Pokemon Black/White) also support WPA on DSi/3DS.

Well that's good to know at least, I can go to WPA because I really only play White 2 anymore online. Mario Kart DS with friends only.

As I wrote here:

You simply need to create an SSID called for example "_The Cloud" (might be europe only?) using a router or a portable hotspot in your phone. Note that you do not have to create the connection in your 3DS systems settings.

As I was using a phone hotspot connected to 3G-network I probably got a new IP every time I started the hotspot, and thus no limit between streetpass hits. (Not sure this is the case, I have not tested with a normal router yet)

grab yourself a router, change his ssid to attwifi (or other theres a complete list here http://3dbrew.org/wiki/Nintendo_Zone ) and remove all sercurity (wep or wpa)
After that turn off all 3ds and turn on at a time. Wait for it to connect to router and do is magic. Then power it of and do the same to another 3ds. If its true your 2nd 3ds has got a streetpass from the other through nzone
