Hacking Not sure where to start

Im looking to play backup games and VC games on my wii. is there any simple step by step tutorials? I don't know anyone about it or where to start

is it possible to do this with a micro SD card in a usb adapter or flash drive or do i need the full SD card that goes in the front?

I'm only looking to play VC games for now

You need an SD card. The Wii does not have anything that reads data off of USB drives without being hacked.

EDIT: Yeah like they said an adapter for the SD slot works fine, it's just the Wii needs to think it's an SD card, it can't be the USB ports.

i put the files on the SD card and ran the install and its just sitting at the screen that says "THIS SOFTWARE MUST NOT BE SOLD" in 2 paragraphs about selling it and just sits there. is this normal? it's been there for about 10 minutes

I've posted in the official modmii support thread and I'm starting to think my SD card isn't compatable. Is there any alternative to modmii?

make sure its not a sdhc card

I have Twilight Princess if I can do the twilight hack but I have no idea how to do it

modmii isn't the problem. any other guide will supply the same files....

the exploit isn't the problem either since you got beyond that to the hackmii installer scam screen. ...so the twilight hack (or any other exploit) won't help. not to mention: the Twilight hack has been dead since SM3.4 anyhow.

so that leaves the hackmii installer itself. you can try getting another hackmii boot.elf file assuming there's something wrong with the one you have (a long shot). the scam screen does have a timer before allowing you to press '1' on the controller....like 20 to 30 seconds or so....which can feel like the 10 minutes you talk about above. so if the 10 minutes was possibly a 9:45 exaggeration, you can try it again....

honestly though, i think your best (only?) option is to try another card. issues with micro card adapters are nothing new....

You can only do that once the text to press 1 comes up. Sometimes it won't come up, which is what OP is experiencing.

Is there any software that would work with diffrent SD cards? A site i found says letterbomb works with any SD card but i have wii version 3.2 so it wont work with that.

Is there a way for me to update the system to be able to use letterbomb?

ive managed to get everything installed from this guide http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-faqs-guides-tutorials-only/96886-guide-softmod-any-wii.html but not i cant figure out how to get to the WAD manager to install my games.

What problem are you having? Did you try selecting a patched IOS (like 249) to use when installing? Which WAD manager are you using?

My apologies, now that I know your system version I understand your problem. The newest HackMii installer DOES infact get stuck on the screen you mention when below v3.4

In anycase, could you please provide me with the following information?
-What region is your Wii? [In System Settings it'll say your firmware 3.2(#) and a letter next to the 3.2 where I put the (#)]
-Is your Wii connected to the Internet?

If your region is U,E, or J and it IS connected to the Internet I would recommend doing an official update to v4.3
Normally I would be against this, however in your current situation I would highly recommend it. After words, you will be able to use the LetterBomb exploit.
After you hack your Wii you can downgrade to v4.1 (The best system menu without the anti-homebrew measures)
