Hacking Can Dios Mios play retail disc that it is not Compatible with

When I installed Dios Mios , I put in 007 Everything Or Nothing disc on my wii and tried to play it through the disc channel but it will have that Dios Mios logo on and then a black screen. I found out that Dios Mios is not compatible with the game so I assume that it the reason I can't play the game. So did I do something wrong or is this how it is.

Your wii should boot the disc in the drive, yes you can still boot gamecube games through disc drive with dios mios. try a different version of dios mios maybe that will work

So it should work right? If it loading from the wii disc channel, why does it have the DIO MIOS logo?

When your Wii loads gamecube games it goes into gamecube mode. MIOS is the software that is loaded for gamecube mode. You can only have 1 MIOS at a time. DIOS MIOS replaces the standard MIOS. DIOS MIOS should be able to boot legit disc games from the disc drive if you have a usb drive attached.

(of course that will make "backups" that you have lost the disk for unplayable....)

It should be, yes.

However, I had a problem where because of Dios Mios "hijacking" the MIOS used when it enters Gamecube mode it won't actually load the GC disks from the Disk Channel and I instead have to go through NeoGamma.

If it doesn't work through the disk channel, have a look at NeoGamma.

I think the answer is no.

DIOS MIOS overwrites the Wii's MIOS, which is what allows the Wii to play gamecube games. If you're trying to play a game that's incompatible with DIOS MIOS, disc or .iso, I don't think it will make a difference.

You can always reinstall the default MIOS.
