I'm thinking about upgrading to a 3ds and getting a flashcart along with it,an r4i dualcore, because there's a seller in my country. If i were to just unbox the 3ds and plug the r4i dualcore in the 3ds,would it work without ruining the 3ds or anything? Should i upgrade the firmware of the 3ds once i get it?thanks

Then why would you get it? If 3DS firmware compatibility is such a big concern (which it is, believe me), why would you purposely buy something that's known to drop support? You could buy it and it could support the current latest at the moment (assuming you're being sold a recent model and not old stock), but then you could get the 3DS updated once or twice and it'll not work anymore (as we see every single day in these forums) due to a lack of support.

I mean, if you're just some sort of masochist that likes buying inferior products and likes having to repurchase flash carts, go ahead, assuming it's updated it should work as-is. :P But if not and if you plan to use this flash cart on the 3DS for a while (without being locked out of new 3DS games (which require updates before playing) or wireless capability) then it's a much smarter move to go for a cart that's known to bypass updates just fine.

I mean, if you'd like I can link you to 15+ threads where people, like you, bought a shitty clone because it happened to be cheap and available (often against out advice, like you're doing now), and then link you to their later posts where they openly regret it if that'll help you make a smarter decision...

It's just that idk where to buy good flashcarts from trustable places.
Since they're all produced in China, people just order them online (especially since physical retailers almost always stock nothing but clones and tend to keep old models). Most sites ship worldwide nowadays, and shipping is cheap or even sometimes free since... well, it's just a flash cart, it's not exactly big or heavy.

Those are three sites that people here highly suggest and order from on a regular basis that should ship worldwide. As far as ones that are closer to your area and would thus get you faster shipping, I don't know offhand.

Is this card proper for a 3ds with the latest update?

I have another question, sorry i'm bothering. Is there anyway whatsoever to play newer 3ds games? I don't want them in 3d or anything. Just wanna play the newer games because that's mainly why i'm getting a 3ds :P

with the use of a flashcart, that is
None of the existing flash carts play 3DS ROMs, if that's what you're asking. The Gateway flash cart is supposed to, but it's not out yet so we don't know how well it works.

If you just mean that you want to play DS games and are worried about new 3DS games forcing an update before they can be played... there's no way around that. If you refuse to let it install the update, the game will not run. Newer games that want updated 3DS firmwares do actually need it, there's no current way to get around that.

I rather enjoy a life of taking it easy. I haven't reached that life yet though.
