It gets compared to that alot but its sooo much more precise, please do research on it before assuming it was junk just because alot of you didnt like the kinect

It just looks gimmicky any way you use it. It may be super precise and an awesome toy but I just don't see any practical use of it. I just don't see what's wrong with the mouse or a gamepad.

It's meant to be used more for drawing and modeling, not gaming/regular use.

You can use it for gaming, music production, drawing, web surfing tons of things. You can also download apps that devs are working on, there's an app that makes any monitor emulate touch screen.

Seems it would be cool for 3D modeling (Pottery sim FTW ), which seems to be it's true purpose.

For 25 dollars I may actually get it just to play around with it as a toy. I just don't see the practicality of it. I never said that you couldn't use it for gaming. I just said that it seemed gimmicky for gaming (like the kinect). I just don't like to get my hopes up from watching a commercial that is trying to sell me something. The Kinect looked so cool at first until I actually got to use it. It wasn't nearly as responsive as I had imagined. Even if this is super precise and way better than the kinect in every aspect, I just don't see how it is practical. I'm not saying it isn't cool though. just not practical.

As I said do more research on the product, It's been having $25 mill investments and have been partnered by Asus/Best buy it's by all means comparable to Kinect however wins on so many more levels, just do more research on it.

I didn't vote because there's no "Maybe" option.
I'm going to wait until I see how things take advantage of the Leap Motion, it has a lot of potential but may end up just being a gimmicky control method that nothing uses well.
I'm also curious as to how well supported it's going to be, if only a handful of games use it, it's not worth my money.

If they're asking $88 for it, then that is ridiculous. I'd rather have food this month than have a device that most probably will get hung up on random movements as registered gestures.
