I had the JP stationery and it was replaced by the English version so no delete button was involved...

Yes, but you can save whichever you want now. It's very easy to switch between them.

In your case you would have to delete the english one and look at the JP one and it would then save, that part hasn't changed, but just due to the fact that a delete even exists made things a lot easier
The region native stationery will still take precedence though, which only means you won't have to delete the JP one, just look at the Eng one.

You are making a mistake. That is not the Animal Crossing stationery that I am referring to. Not only that, but you already posted that one before.

For some reason, it seems like the new one didn't save neither (my EUR 3DS still displays the Japanese one, which is strange).
