Its a pity you don't actually know how to use quotes properly >.<
But i suppose lucky for me, as you are talking out of your rectum anyway, so no big loss to me :)

I'm not going to waste my breath on you any further seeing that you're not actually familiar with the subject matter (otherwise you'd know that $80 is not a whole lot for a first-generation backup device), but if I were you, I'd cut down on the "fools", "idiots" and "sheep" - moderators around here tend to dislike clearly provocative posts.

If any of the staff members want to get rid of me, they can feel free to do so, it wont stop me calling a sheep a sheep or a fool a fool.

You should read the latest edit. ;)

I did, i apologise :p

Here ya go, It's not worth $80 to me therefore I'm not buying it. Dispute that one :P

No problems here - only bullshit reasons like "Wha! It's a rip-off! I want to pay $5 for my flashcarts", "Wha! It doesn't run homebrew applications because they have no 3DS Mode exploit ergo they can't do that even if they wanted to!", "Wha! I want the region lock removed and this doesn't do that for me! Wha! I want to play games I don't bloody understand because they're in Japanese (which is the case 9 out of 10 times), Wha!", "Wha! It doesn't run DS applications! I don't care if it's a 3DS cart and has nothing to do with DS Mode, it still should!" and "Wha! Paying $80 to play all the games within your region is such a rip-off, I'd rather pay hundreds, thousands of dollars!" are disputable. You have full rights to a personal opinion. ;)

All of those reasons are part of economics, too. Everybody is going to choose how they spend their own money differently based on their own opinions.
It's not uncommon for the prices to be so high when there's new tech or a monopoly situation happening, nor is it uncommon for people to wait for the tech to mature and come down in price.

I'm here whaing in secret. Really don't mind bickering at all, that's basically what the internet is for. Some people will want it, other people won't want it. People will say it's worth it, others say it's a rip off. A reviewer's objective isn't to change someones opinion. Just to state the facts, and then state our opinion. (While trying not to blend the two.)

Carry on.

Well the thread does beg for people to air their grievances :P

Well then, by all means go for it. Just try to stay on topic, and don't go blatantly attacking others.
Not saying that's happened so far, but just a forewarning.

Uh, uh. So the $80 price isn't set in stone, and it may drop down a bit. Perhaps the $80 price was to test to see how the public reacts to it? Just throwing out ideas.

I rarely comment on this forum, i tend to say things people dislike or get butt hurt over, so i feel it best to say nothing most of the time, saying that the OP did ask if this device was worth it, he asked for members to give their opinions and i told him my opinion, which a couple other members disliked/got upset over.

So if you as a reviewer say the device isn't worth the cost and say something like its limited and that people should wait for a clone or another cheaper device, will Foxi4 bitch at you too ? :)

I think $80 is a pretty reasonable price.
Even more considering two retail games would already cost that.

Maybe not Foxi, but someone else might. Right now everything is based on assumptions, and perhaps people's minds will change with someone there to answer questions as well as show off the device.

I'll be unbiased in my review, and those that oppose it just have different biased opinions. (They won't have the device until a few days later.) So yeah.

Try reading, i wasn't actually talking to you, also i don't give a f*ck who you or or what connections you have.

And yes, if you are connected with these type of manufacturers and retailers, then of course people will take your word over mine, because its profitable for you to convince them how great it is to pay for over priced junk :)

Honestly, that's not my formal job definition at all. My job is to:

1) Inform the public about making good decisions with their money, based on a presentation of facts and opinion (a review)
2) Maintain strong relationships with sponsors and partners who support my website.

That is a better way to put that pay for overpriced junk stuff, because I don't pay for them with cash. I pay for it with the time it takes to present a good review.

The device will probably cost 2 dollars to make, while they charge $80.

They set that price because it's the only one, and seeing how it is the only one available, people will pay whatever ammount for it. If this doesn't work, they will cut down the price. This, is taking advantage, wether you like it or not.

There's a big difference between bitching about something and pointing out that you state your opinions as if they were facts when they're clearly not. You're entitled to your own opinion, but it's just that - an opinion. It's an overpriced rip-off for you, not necessarily for others and that doesn't make them fools or sheep as you claim - they just have a different opinion to your own and you should learn to respect that. As for your complaint about lack of homebrew, hombrew's never been the big push behind flashcart manufacture, which can be easily illustrated by how "well" iPlayer cards sold... meaning they didn't sell at all because they didn't allow the users to launch ROM's. What you need is a little bit of perspective.

I think it would be an interesting situation to see people voice their thoughts on wanting to buy, but refusing to due to the price, thus forcing the gateway 3ds team and retailers to lower the price drastically or make absolutely nothing....but maybe that's me, maybe people enjoy spending this kind of money.
Just saying, consumers control the prices, especially if they were all unified.
