So today I downloaded Donkey Kong from the eShop full price (€39.99) and it was advertised as a 500-star title (2x), which means you get 500 stars for your club nintendo account if you complete a poll within 28 days after download. I completed the poll but guess what? I only got the usual 250 stars, so Nintendo ripped me off by whoopin 250 stars (which are ~10€, don't ask me why, just trust me). I am fucking sick and tired about NoE's glitchy site and about having to send them yet again another email. Get your broken site fixed, Big N!

Update: The additional 250 stars have been added to my account. It seems that they are added not instantly, but after a delay (which is nowhere mentioned). Now I feel like a complete idiot. Thanks Big N.

Hm, send them an email and tell them what happened. I recently had a problem with Club Ninty but they fixed it for me.

how in the world can 250 stars be ~10€?
i mean, some maniacs may buy those codes at that price, but if you look at, lets say, anything you can trade the stars in for, a 1€ nintendo points card is 400 stars. 250 stars equal a whoping 62,5 cents worth of nintendo points.

You have to add into account, that you can't just buy stars that easily. If you could the star catalogue would be chronical empty and we all know that star catalogue items are overpriced. The €10 were merely a rough estimate.

I'd say cry me a river but I can't really speak for NOE's Club Nintendo site so yeah. Still was a thread really necessary for this?
This thread has 2 purposes:

1) Checking if other users experienced similar issues
2) Unleashing my anger to get attention

Nintendo gives you those Club Nintendo stars as an added bonus. They're a freebie extra to go with the game. Call up Nintendo and inquire, but honestly, I don't think you should be so upset by something that's given to the buyers for free.

Eh? There are people that buy the overpriced download versions just because of the extra 250 stars. If they don't get them, Nintendo simply ripped them off. And my upset has also a bunch of to do with this.

No, they made a mistake. Stop acting like Nintendo sold you a product, then beat you up in an alleyway and took it back.

Could have just blogged it.

Nintendo did the opposite for me. To begin with I only have two of the So Many Games promotion, yet I still got accepted and received the email and everything, now I have an Animal Crossing game confirmed and then there's the fact that I got 500 stars for Monster Hunter Ultimate which I bought the download code from a friend (it was the download code he got from his So Many Games promotion).
Screenies I took some time ago:

This one is saying I registered the games and I could get a free game, even though I just Registered Monster Hunter and Fire Emblem, then there's this one, the email confirmation:

And here's the list of games I have registered on the site:

As you can see, only two out of the three and I still got 550 stars from Monster Hunter and an extra 50 for SMT Overclocked that day

Joostin, please go back trolling the wii section, kthx.
I'm not trolling. I don't troll. But your title is inaccurate. Now if Nintendo doesn't give you those extra stars after the email, then this thread is justified. I'd be pretty pissed. But in your current situation, at the most I would be slightly annoyed.

You are lucky. Man, NoE really needs to get their shit together with their site. It's under construction for how long? 8, 9 months?
