But ooh, that's a nice render distance. But yeah the world seems a lot more crowded now than it did back when I played in Classic, when heading up to Varrock to smith some bars was like, a day's trip.

rs will b dead soon. idk how g00d their pr is, cuz' the 06' class is dead. best clans are ded cuz they all quit the day eoc came. bak then noobz came from miniclip, ppl use to talk about rs at skool and at da local park. my cousins played rs and church kidz i knew lmao. i knew a bunch of ppl irl who played rs..but they all quit now cuz rs is trash.

i doubt any kids 2day go to skool talking about rs like its hot or go to da local park and talk dat RS stoof. who goes 2 da park nowadays? all these kidz playin cod, LOL or steam games. so many kidz got phones too, weird.

Obviously weren't the best clans if they quit just because combat now requires more than staring at the screen waiting for something to happen.
EoC was a massive step forward.

That's an amazing upgrade! I never liked the old Runescape I played about 9 years ago, and I probably won't be playing the new one. Not that it's bad, just not in the mood to get locked into something else. It looks very nice, and I am sure anyone who played the older Runescape will love this.

When I think of Runescape, I just think of how many hours it drained from me back in 5th grade (it was fun though). But when I think about picking it back up... "Eh... I'll pass".

It's like that JRPG that you played for a while and gotten pretty far, but you just stopped playing it for some reason. And when you attempt to play it again, you're like "I don't want to start from the beginning because I'm already this far into the game, but at the same time, I can't continue to play it because I DONT KNOW WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON!!".

Just throwing this out there, I've been spending time since they announced runescape 3 a few months ago trying to advertise and back it up on so many sites. I only ask for people to do one thing.
To try it out; its free dammit. See how much its changed and stop making assumptions from 5 years ago.

Runescape has seriously evolved so much. It's a good example of how things have changed, or can change, over the course of a decade or more. I still play from time to time when the fancy takes me, but I've never been able to hold my previous play habits. Growing up sucks. :<

HTML 5 ran decently well on my computer (and this was before the update that had optimized a bit out of graphics cards).

OMG I love the new interface system and there is more to be released with it. I think they are going to incorporate the website GE functions into the game with it.

Makes sense. They already put GE searching into their browser toolbar like, three years back.

Idunno' who likes the GE more, Jagex or the players. I, for one, find it much much easier to find the things I need and sell my wares than back in the old days.

Incidentally, the HTML5-powered bestiary has been on the website for quite a while now. This runs a LOT more smoothly than the current beta version of the full game. Only works on Chrome.

jagex is a very sucessful company and Runescape wont die for many years.

Runescape is a unique mmorpg and nothing is like it, so its funny when I hear people hate on it saying its a copy of everything else. People who do that have never played the game.

I havent played the game in years but I think this will be something cool and I will definitely try it again

I think that the wasd movement might be cool, but if they did use it then it would take the feel away from the original game. It was unique because it wasnt wasd movement, it was a click to move game that was fun and could run on nearly any computer, which is probably why it got really popular

I think people hate on runescape because they see it as babby's first MMO and have moved on to WoW or some other game.

I still like runescape and get on occasionally. I also get mem's every now and then to try the new content.

And RS3 looks pretty interesting, Runescape's not really my thing but their longevity is respectable.
