Think the Disney deal was too much? Too exclusive and limiting? Think again.
Electronic Arts has closed an other licensing deal with the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) have announced an extension of their existing licensing agreement until the end of 2022. That means EA Sports’ soccer video games will continue to have the exclusive rights to the FIFA brand and the FIFA World Cup name.
In other words, one of the worlds largest and best selling football (soccer to you English-crippled Americans ) games will remain in the hands of EA for the next 10 years. Wanted a bit of competition? Not going to happen with the current rosters and teams in the larger football series worldwide.
