Hacking R4 or supercard dstwo

lol DSTwo has unrivaled compatibility, requires no AP patches on newer games 99.9% of the time

Really? Pretty sure my EDGE required a patched ROM to get it to run on my DS Lite. :\

im planning in buying a flashcart for my 3DS, its running v5.1.0-11E. Was looking at the either:

R4i GOLD 3DS Revolution for Nintendo 3DS or

Supercard DSTWO for 3DS / DSi XL（LL）/ DSi with EOS

The R4i card is £20 quid cheaper. Im not too fussed about emulators and media players.
Is the R4i a good enough card for £11 just for NDS images?

i already have an AceKard 2i for another DSi and thats perfect for my needs but doesnt work with my 3DS
