Dios Mios Doesn't lack disc support. You just need to have a compatable drive in the USB port for DM to boot discs.
Oh. I just kind of assumed it did since Quadforce does. Well then, replace Dios Mios with Quadforce in what I said :P
If Devolution ever gets rid of that DRM the dev should cooperate with Crediar to get Quadforce support implemented into it with classic controllers and all. The DRM kind of makes that impossible though since no one has Triforce discs.

So I guess we're just paying for crediar's butthurtness over Quadforce being leaked.
Oh well, if that's what it takes, I'm all for it.

To be quite honest, I feel more like we are just globally funding crediar's wii hacking efforts with this more than just paying him to release quadforce. Regardless, his efforts up to this point more than warrant his request. 1000's of people already use DM, and I'm sure many would use QuadForce once it releases (provided we raise sufficient funds)

Crediar Quadforce pledge list
W hat: 10
Fire-WSP: 5
8BitWalugi: 20
scooby74029: 7.64 (10 USD)

Running total: 42.64/500 Euro

Where do we contribute?
Nowhere, yet. We'll let Crediar tell us where to send the money. :)

Why should I contribute?
Crediar is a pretty cool guy. He's one of the key people behind Dios Mios, Preloader, and SNEEK. Of course, he also is working on Quadforce, and has contributed to other projects as well.

Other homebrew developers work for free.
How much did you pay for SNEEK? Crediar is a highly skilled developer, and people like that are highly valuable to many companies. You're getting a discount on his work because Crediar likes homebrew enough to work on it in his spare time. This is intense hacking and Crediar could be working on anything he wants.

Contribute if you like him or his work, or maybe if you just want to see an updated Quadforce released. I don't think any other developer will come forward with a similar project.

The way things are going at the moment, I'm surprised that people aren't dubbing this 'Quidforce'. As people are choosing to pay (or donate) for something that could easily just be free and not always uploaded to hosting sites with slightly annoying waiting times, as well as limited slots available.

Edit: Although... that's just my own opinion, but we'll just have to wait and see what happens...

I've just 'reworded' what i said above, hopefully to make things a bit clearer.

Anyway... I'm standing by what I've just said, as like I did last time.

Ugh It's people like you that make these kinds of projects fail Were paying an honest man for an honestly awesome piece of work you don't have to pay if you don't want to... Credair has done more for the will brew scene then most and besides making something like this is hard work so deal with it.

UMM, well AX has been discovered hidden in GX and it can be unlocked with codes on DM(L) or just turning the option on in Devolution.

SO

What we're really hoping to pay for new here is him unblocking wavebirds and adding in saving and USB features. (... for Mario Kart GP)

It's a relatively butchered version of AX, lacking memory card, garage, and a few other things.

How dare people ask for money for spending hours of their time developing something for the rest of us.
I know, right? Filthy swine, how dare he, we demand our stuff to be free.

What makes you feel in any way entitled to get the fruits of someone's hard work for free?

Okay, there seems to be interest.

Has anyone done a donation drive before? I have no idea how to set it up.
Let's just lay low and keep it in this thread / a new thread until we get a few more pledges. Once we have, say, 150 or 200 Euros pledged, I'll contact Crediar and see if he has any ideas on where the money should go.
