I have come into ownership of the games a few pc games. I have a gc recoil controller and it works fine using xbox360cemu.v.3.0. However I still have issue playing a few of the games because of the left analog stick mapping. One of the games Legendary is unplayable to me because I can't get used to when I press up on the stick the camera looks left and pressing left makes the camera look up and down makes it look right and right makes it look down. It drives me crazy.

I want to be able to make the left stick look left when I push left and up when I push up.
I know its a common control for alot of games but it if I want to change it I should be able to.
any way to make this happen?

I'd like to add that I've had the same problem too. I use a PS2 controller through a USB adapter, and when a game forces a xbox 360 controller (the shittiest design choice, thanks forced controls), I usually use x360ce, especially on games that don't allow you to disable gamepad recognition (wherewith I'll use joy2key instead).

I tried playing Resident Evil 6 with x360ce, and my right axis was improperly setup. So any tips would help me too!

Also, if I'm not wrong there is a setting in the xbo360ce ini files that let's you remap your buttons and axes to match that of a real xbox360 controller or whatever you feel more comfortable with.

I used to play a lot around with the 360ce and got my Dual Shock to work perfectly with most games, I remember I even created custom profiles for games that wouldn't let me remap the buttons in game to my liking.

I say 'most' games, because obviously the ce has it's limitations that have a lot to do with the games supporting direct input ( or its modifications ) to begin with.
I wish I could be more specific but that was a couple of years ago, and I deleted anything related to the 360ce because when I got my new gaming laptop I decided to get an actual wired xbox 360 controller and get over with the whole hassle of controllers emulators, compatibilities and problems such as yours.

In the end, my advise is to find a cheap xbox360 controller and enjoy out-of-the-box support and perfect compatibility.
My two cents.

I had that problem too. I was using a generic GC/XBOX/PS2 to USB adapter and even with x360ce it wouldn't register in certain games like L4D2 and Telltale's The Walking Dead. Couldn't solve it so I bought a wired 360 controller, best gaming decision in my life. :P

In the start menu, click "Devices And Printers" near the bottom-right. Find your controller, right-click it and go to the game controller settings. There's an option in there to recalibrate the axes.
It's not that they aren't calibrated correctly--it's that what the gamepad registers as its +x axis, the xbox controller is recognizes as being its -y axis, for example. So whenever I push up, the forced in-game xbox controls turn me horizontally, not vertically.

I told you, there is an .ini file in the xbox360 CE folder that lets you map your physical buttons and axes to the emulated one.
You just open it in notepad and manually edit the settings.

If you have trouble finding the right buttons, try to open up the Windows USB game controllers settings and push your joystick buttons and axes and make a note of what number they are (they are different for every controller/USB adapter combination), then use those numbers in the xbox360 CE ini file ( or maybe was a cfg file, not too sure, check it out).

If you still don't understand that, then do yourself a favor and get an actual 360 controller and forget about the CE.

I noted your advice and was going to try it the next time I bothered booting up RE6; rather, I was responding to Rydian to clear up a possible misconception of my issue.

Oh wow...
Following this post I found a new(ish) xbox360CE with a gui that makes remapping axes and buttons to your liking in a fancy, user friendly UI !
I wasn't aware of such a massive update, I used to edit all the values manually in the past he he eh ......
Anyway, not to sure which version you have, but this one with the gui should let you remap your axes and definitely solve your problem.
Take it easy.

to follow up with you guys it would seem joytokey is the answer. you have to take the time to open each game and read the controls try them and then assign each key to a button but it works. even though I heard Legendary is one of the worst games out there I'm having fun playing it.

What does it have anything to do with the discussion we were having ?
The topic was about simulating the inputs of an xbox360 controller with another controller( so that games with controls optimized for an xbox360 controller wouldn't be screwed up ), joytokey is about simulating keyboard/mouse inputs with your controller.....

Numerous games that are developed for consoles alongside PC force the 360 controls on the player regardless of what USB gamepad is detected. And many of these games have no in-game options to ignore a controller plugged in. Luckily, we can manually go in and disable the controller recognition, such as the unreal-engine games (Borderlands, BioShock), but for games without these options, joy2key will not help.

Rather, you would have two inputs active at all times, 1)joy2key and 2)forced 360 controls. In situations like these it's easier to use x360ce to emulate how a 360 controller is handled in a game, or to use a similar direct input interception program to negate the detection of a gamepad altogether. This is the situation I ran into with Resident Evil 5, 6, Dark Souls, and numerous other games, and is why a simple controller emulator doesn't necessarily fix the problem, unfortunately :(

um I made the topic so how are you going to tell me what the topics about. joytokey fixed exactly what I wanted on all the games. 16 games to be exact. I just finished mapping each game key to my controller and now I can enjoy exactly what I intended.
the question I was asking was how to get the right stick to look the direction I point up looking up down looking down right looking right and left looking left and joytokey fixed it perfectly.

I told you what your problem was and how to fix it, but if you can't follow simple instructions ( with a link provided ) then I feel sorry for you.

So instead of using analog controls, by using the in-game controller support, you assigned key presses ( presumably wasd )to the axes and play the game with digital input only, without even getting the controller icons in game.
Congratulations, create a topic, ask for help, ignore everybody else advice , and do things your way ( wrongly ) .
Why do people even bother to help nowadays.

I had that before and I even mentioned it in my request and it the controls were when I pushed down it looked left and when I pushed left it looked down which is not what I wanted. And for games like assassins creed and ghostbusters it didn't work at all. joytokey allows me to control it how I wanted. a friend of mine on fb told me to try it. If the problem is solved then whats your problem.
