Port =/= Remake
That's what I'd call a definition of a remake, not a port.
Porting means getting the original source code of the game and changng it to adapt the new device's needs.

Porting from scratch is a remake, because your, get this, REMAKING the game. Porting just means your recompling the source to a different format, often REWORKING, parts of the source in order to make it work on the new platform.
The only difference is that he said reworking where you said "changing" and "adapt".
