Some Wii games like New Super Mario Bros and Monster Hunter have 3DS versions that are exactly similar to the Wii versions and could be ported with less graphic quality. Based on how OoT:3D looked like on the 3DS, Nintendo could easily port N64 classics. I think GC games are too new to start making ports, at least on the 3DS that is.

It's nearly impossible to try to make GC ports on a 3DS since the 3DS can't make the graphical quality of a Gamecube. They can make GC ports on the WiiU like with Windwaker.
Hemm.........Sorry, but if they can successfully port such a brilliant Wii games as Donkey Kong Country returns, what would stop them from porting GC classics ?
Remember we are talking about porting, not emulating, those are two very different things.
Remember Super Mario 64 was also successfully ported to the DS.
When the job is done by Nintendo themselves, there is no limit to what we might see.

Personally I'd love to see the Metroid Prime trilogy in 3D, or the Super Mario Galaxy games !
They might be too new to be ported to the Wii U, but it would be a perfect excuse to make them portable ;)

I wouldn't mind. I didn't even mind when they remade the Nintendo 64 games. How much cooler it would be if there was a Wii games remake. Monster Hunter 3U is an awesome port especially coming from MHTri.

That was always been a mistery to me.. how is porting different from emulating?
i always thought that ported games are emulated on other consoles and PC's

Yeah, metroid prime 3D, you hit the bullseye  the motivation i mede this threat is because i was thinking about Metroid from GC and Wii :)
i, PERSONALLY would love to see ported Metroid other M (now don't jump on me please because of that..YES, i am one of those people who like other M :P )

Or how about Metroid fusion remake on 3DS (enough dreaming ^_^ )

Porting is loads different. Porting basically means that you're completely reworking the game (sometimes from scratch, as a remake) to work on the system in question. Emulating just means you're playing a ROM from the original system with an emulator, and of course, no way the 3DS is powerful enough to emulate the GameCube. the 3DS would have to be multiple times more powerful than the GameCube (4 to 6 times, depending on who you ask) to properly emulate it.

I'm sure many Wii titles could be ported but I'd rather have new games myself. Buy a Wii if you want those games, you can get a cheap one for under £50 now.
