Gaming Flipnote Memo: I'm tired of waiting.

So, I'm tired of waiting for Flipnote Memo to come out for 3DS. Is Swapnote supposed to replace it? Is it an abandoned project? And, why can't Nintendo release the normal Flipnote Studio on 3DS!!!!???? I don't get it.

No, it's the successor to Flipnote Studio on the DSi. It was mentioned that a 3DS version would be released, but nothing has happened yet.

It's an app on a device they already own that lets them make stuff and share it with other people, and get votes and junk.

So it's like youtube mixed in with an easy-to-use flip-draw system.

Speak for yourself, I sold my DSi to buy a 3DS so in my case it's an awesome app I am never getting back.

Now for a more precise description, it's an easy to use animation program where you can draw your own animations frame by frame and share it online for votes. It's simple enough so anyone can use, but still let you do amazing things with it.

I never had a DSi, so I never got to enjoy the original Flipnote. I saw my sister's boyfriend playing around with it once a while back and got jelly. I'd say that Nintendo have abandoned it at this point.

We haven't got any physical proof, no screenshots, no videos, nothing. All we have is Miyamoto's word that Flipnote Memo is coming for 3DS.

This is the same guy who (despite being a creative genius) insisted for seven years that Super Mario 128 was in development and then went on to say that it was all just a Tech Demo the whole time and was never intended to be a game. Mario 128 became Pikmin. So I think Flipnote Memo became Swapnote.

I know they are totally different apps. Just like Mario and Pikmin. But bottom line, you draw pictures and send them to people, add sound clips if you want, etc. And remember the name Flipnote Memo, Memos are little messages you leave to yourself or others. Maybe Flipnote Memo was never going to be an animation app like the DSi version. After all, no one ever said that Memo would be an animation app like it's predecessor.

It's my belief at this point is that Flipnote isn't coming to 3DS. Until I see some physical proof of development, I'm not getting my hopes up.
