Gaming New Leaf release date

Well, we finally got our AC:NL release date, and it's June 9.

Booooo! What is the AC team doing? Are they on vacation? Have they been given a different assignment? All these clips leads me to think most of the translation has already been done.

Do they want to be able to hype the crap out of Luigi's Mansion in March/April/May?

Honestly in this day and age you would think companies could make the releases happen closer together if not a global release.
