Well, you can petition all you want, but someone has to be willing to actually update it.I've tried to update this software many times but have failed, i'm considering making a petition asking if anyone wants to see this updated because someone needs to keep VGMTrans alive for 2013!!

A VGMtrans update sounds nice though. It is definitely needed.
Which is what i asked here http://gbatemp.net/threads/vgmtrans.339216/ a long time ago but still no takers but i know the process takes and would take really long anyways so i'll be patient of course but yes a new VGMTrans update would be great.
Btw you look very familiar, have i seen you on the emuforums before teamfail? Lol
The thing I like about VGMtrans is that it can also rip from PSF/PSF2 as well as a number of other game formats straight to MIDI/DLS. However, it's still buggy: It won't open any FFVII PSF files, it won't rip FFIX DLS files, only the sequences, and it won't open FFIV-VI games from the PS1.Ripping wise I think most have moved onto VGMtoolbox
SSEQ2midi does a command listing
DLS is taken care of by a couple of other tools now, MKDS course modifier has one I believe and http://gbatemp.net/threads/nitro2dls-new-tool-for-making-dls-files-from-sdat.340330/
Tinke handles SDAT internals as far as importing, exporting and such like quite happily.
Do not get me wrong I would love a stable, less buggy and slightly more featured VGMtrans but the abilities are largely all there in tools most are reasonably familiar with. I believe we already had a fairly similar conversation a month or two back though.
No, I'm not a member there, sorry. I'm on PokeCommunity though.
