Someone wanna explain how to unpack/repack the cpk, and where the text is stored?

Would be better for new people coming in who want to try and translate it as well.

Try and keep a list of where everything is for fast finding for other members.

To unpack and repack the CPK use this program:

http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?jwygidgmvdw

Just drag the CPK file into that program. The rest, I think is self explanatory. About the text I have no idea. When you extract it, none of the files have extensions. The only thing I discovered about the files from the extracted CPK is that if you order them by size, except the first 2, the rest of the files to the last one that is approximately 800kb, they are cutscenes and they should be in .pmf format. I have no idea about the rest.

Thanks. Flicking through with hex, it seems that it's got a lot of container files with other files in it. So far I've only found GIM images. Good news is these containers seem to have the original names of the files within them. For example "ag01tx1014_devimon"

GMO models are from ID00515-ID03518
PMF files are from ID03634-ID03691

id 3117 and 3118 have a list of english characters and katakana and hiragana characters.
and what appears to be the menu is on id3841 (the last one)

but so far i can't seem to repack the cbk. the new iso just gives a black screen

if its CPK be sure to uncheck the compress option in the case that it dosnt load or get infinity loading

Well see.... if you guys are able to Extract the contents of said CPK and you get tons of files without a TOC, how are you going to re-build said CPK?
Has anyone tried editing the CPK, then rebuilding it? Without a TOC I'd imagine it'd be a lil difficult.

EDIT: Also as far as "Redubbing" goes, don't bother. Re-encoding PMF files is very difficult and getting the near raw audio from the episodes (No Background Music or Effects) would be incredibly difficult. Also there's a good chance that there are new scenes in the game that aren't in the shows or movies.
Just translate the sub titles on the videos, if you can find them.

To be honest so far I've been testing a redub in latinoamerican spanish (the version I grew up). I've only redubed the first cutscene, where they are standing there then the digivices appear and the waterfall takes them to the digiworld. The scenes are shorter than the anime, and the result wasn't perfect but it was pretty good.
There are no new scenes in the game that aren't in the show.

You can watch this if you want, it contains spoilers... but if you already watched the anime, then it won't spoil you anything :P :

Of course that there is no original audio from the part of the game where all the digimon trainers find themselves in that kind of "Matrix" world (I dunno what it is, I haven't played the game yet, just know that it exists), and also, I don't know if there are secondary missions which are things that never appeared on the anime before. But for the main story, it's all there.

However I agree with the first thing you said; re-enconding pmf files IS very difficult. A lot of steps. I'm not done yet; I have to convert the AVI I extracted into another kind of avi, so that it can go into the UMD Converter along with the wav file, in order to obtain a .pms file, which I should then convert into pmf. Then repack it into the CPK, and then put the CPK in the ISO and see if it plays on the PSP. I don't have the time today to do that, but I'll test it out some other day.

If someone knows any kind of way to do this but more easily and directly please tell me. Also, if you know about someone who has redubed PSP games in the past, tell me who so I can contact him for advices.

I've kinda updated the first page of the thread. I'm still not 100% sure IF someone is working on a english patch for this game, or if the screenshots (shown in previous pages) were just like demos, if there is a translation team already or just people working on their own. Whatever it is, if you tell me "this user is working on it, this one too" like so, I would have no problem to add that info to the 1st page (so that people who visit this thread already know if there is people working on translating this game or not, and who, without having to read the 9 pages of this xD )

hey i fiddled around with stuff on the last file. I managed to translate some of the options menu. After it repacks and converts i'll try to upload a screenshot

sorry to dissapoint us? Those are awesome news dude :)

i'm pointing on people who are doing there own patch..

Oh I see. Well, IF (I'm not saying that it will be like this because he didn't specify it yet) StorMyu will be making a full game translation patch and won't release it till it's 100% complete, like the digimon world re: digitize project is being done, then I don't see any good reason of why other users can't release a patch for just the menus and items (and the very basics to play the game). For some people that would be enough for them to make them want play the game (I'm not saying that I'm one of them). But maybe he will make both (and release the menus patch early (I mean early in comparison to the full patch); so we don't really know.
Till he comments again in this thread (or he creates a new thread one about his translation), I'd say that we all wait, and that nobody translates anything till we read what he has to say (StorMyu, it's not that I'm puting pressure on you or anything like that, it's just that I'm kinda confused and I feel like others are too :p )

u can replace the katakana in the menu file (3841) with regular letters as long as you dont mess with the null pointers. SO basically any translation you put in has to occupy the same amount of space.

Hello, I`m new:lol:

I`v been watching you guys and I love the dedication. :D

So I`m a noob with all this....Noob as in......Digimon Adventure is my first PSP game ever....and I do not know anything (but I know all the basic stuff and SOME advanced things)...so for starters, can someone please tell me how to put the Anime music instead of the crappy ones ??

I`ll be very thankful and maybe I can help later:yaypsp:
