OMG Today!
I've just searched the game, and I found it. Obviously I can't share the links here but I guess I can tell you how I found it. I just googled "デジモンアドベンチャー iso" and order the results so that the most recent appears on top. I hope I didn't break any rule (I didn't provide any download links or anything)

Would it be playable for someone not very familiar with japanese and just average knowledge about digimon?

Well, not very sure about that. I mean, you can discover the controls, but if the game uses any item or anything you won't know what to choose or to do. Maybe in a few days someone will make an english patch, just for the basic things (I mean, not like a complete translation like the digimon re digitize project in this forum, just basic stuff but not the story) and then it would be playable. You already know the story, HOWEVER, it seems that there are parts of the game in which you have to make decisions; you won't know what to choose in those moments.

The good thing is that it's available via torrent too, it downloads faster

The good thing is that it's available via torrent too. I guess I can't tell you where to get it, I'd really like to say something like "people you can get the torrent at *REMOVED AS ILLEGAL*" but I can't ( ;) )

id edit your post quick

your not allowed to state any sites that you can get tells you where to get illegal material

ok, I edited it. But it's not like I posted the link to the torrent here, I just mentioned a page. It's like if I said "google" here.

Few Days...? seriously people stop thinking it takes 2 seconds...

True what this guy is saying ^

From the looks of it, a menu translation would probably take a few days but that doesn't include the hacking part for text insertion ;) (people forget that a translation is one thing, being able to make it a patch is another thing entirely)

When I get the game in about a week or two (importing from yesasia, takes a bit), I'll have a better understanding of how easy or not it would be to translate the non-dialogue bits. (the help sections look harder than dialogue though due to lack of furigana. I watched a vid on niconico through the first ep and that is one bit that stood out XD)

edit: For anyone who want to see the vid from niconico:

http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm19850787

Commentary included in the vid. Great vid though, shows the whole first episode.

The PERFECT digimon game. Nice graphics, awesome story, awesome gameplay .... and I won't be able to play it till someone translates it :'( (if it ever gets translated) . FML

I know we can not talk about piracy here, but can someone at least tell me which is the recommended custom firmware to run this game? Or we can't talk about that either?
