After a long wait, the release date of the sequel to Corpse Party, Corpse Party: Book of Shadows has been announced by XSEED. It will reach U.S players January 15th via PlayStation Store, priced at $19,99. This is of course exciting news for all the fans of the creepy horror series. Are you ready to re-enter Sachiko's sick game? Will you prevail and survive the nightmare? That's highly unlikely on the first try, but that's what these games are all about - replayability. Be advised - the trailers may be considered disturbing - you have been forewarned.

A Corpse Party game, really? Wow.....

$20 says it'll be censored to some degree for the USA release....

My feelings exactly. I thoroughly enjoyed the first one and was really disappointed to find out that the sequel was not released in the west yet. I really, really can't wait for this release - I couldn't be bothered to try out the Japanese one. I hope the "censoring" won't make the game bland - I WANT the juicy parts.

I haven't tried the first one yet.. Is that one censored? (why would you assume that this second one will be if it wasn't).

Always wanted to try this :)

It's quite... graphic. I can recommend it if you like "that kind" of horror - it's a very enjoyable game and definitely not censored in a way that would detach you from the game, so no worries there.

But it IS in fact censored?
I have no problem with graphic stuff, and I guess I like "that kind" of horror ;) But however I do have a strong disliking towards censoring. The acceptable limit for me is like the siren sprite change in FF VI.. more than that and I'm pissed haha.

No I mean Corpse Party 2: Dead Patient being released for Spring this year. I think the Vita deserves its own Corpse Party title.
I believe Dead Patient is going to be a PC Exclusive, the PSP's/Vita's next Corpse Party is titled Blood Drive - it's mentioned at the end of Book of Shadow's credits.
