Hate the new (and crappy) Apple maps? Fret not, Google Maps is now available in the App Store as a free download! This app is also optimized for iPhone 5.

NOTE: This app isn't iPad optimized yet. It will be supported in a future update.

TAP THIS ON YOUR iOS DEVICE

apple are a bunch of fucking hypocrites their trying to destroy google yet they allow their apps on their icrap!
They openly admitted that their maps suck ass and even recommend people to use alternatives. Of course they will let Google maps be approved.

Now that's hypocrisy.

Apple may be a fucking idiot when it comes to lawsuits but if they wanted to destroy Google they would have done it long long ago.

You mean if they could see into the future they would have destroyed them before Android came out. Up until Android Apple had no reason to hate Google. Google can't be taken down by a single company now.

Google is a massive cooperation. Even before the Android era, Google was already enormous.

However, I don't think today's Apple hates Google that much (maybe it does, but definitely not to the extent of destroying it or whatever).

I'm sad about it. The iPhone maps is a great source of jokes... I'll miss it :ha:

(I know that this release do not erase the apple maps, I'm just kidding, you dont need to say that I'm technically wrong)

Seriously though it's nice that customers at least have a bit of choice now.

OMG this app is not available in my app store - I live in the UAE, so I will need to change the store first, and in the process my Credit card Company will charge me 1$ to authenticate.

UPADE:Thank You a lot , I was suffering because I get lost easily ^_^

You don't need a credit card to create an account outside your country, just log off on itunes, go to desired store, choose any free product, then try to download it, an authentication screen will show up and you chose the option to create an account. If you do that they way I said, it will have an option to create without a credit card.

Yes Yes I just realized this know and got the app thanks though.

I used maps all the time to find my way around the cities and stuff. Using it for navigation (like driving) was not really that great of an idea.
