Hacking Why aren't there more undubs?

I prefer watching a movie in a language I don't understand (spanish?) as long as I have proper subtitles in a language I understand. You think we are watching/playing without understanding at all? you are making fool of yourself. Audio is a thing which let pass emotions, understanding is another one.
Emotion+original_acting+understanding is better than bad_acting+no emotions+understanding. (you see, in both, you understand what is said! stop saying playing in another laguage you don't understand it).

Poeple ask me why I listen to japanese music, "there's no point, you don't understand it", while themselves are listening to english/italian music while not understanding it either. stop criticizing others for their actions.

Indeed, and I think a lot of people won't bother to listen to another language intently enough to start to pick up the flow of it and simple expressions, which adds a lot to the experience. I didn't really like hearing Korean (over Japanese) until I sat through a 20-odd hour Korean drama... during which I started to pick up the intonations and such and began to really appreciate the experience.

The difference between Japanese voices and English dubs in games (and IMO the reason why English dubs are usually all around shit), is because people expect to hear the ridiculous "anime-ized" voices. Greatly exaggerated tones and voices, and phrases that normally are not used in day to day Japanese.

You try to apply that same theme with English voices, it's going to sound rough and forced. That's not a part of Western culture.

Me personally, I couldn't give a fraction of a fuck less. Subbed, dubbed, I'll take it, unless it's a game or Anime with voice acting that makes my ears bleed like Enchanted Arms (OH GOD MAKE IT STOP!)

That is part of it, yeah, but it's more that the English voice actors just suck at those anime type voices. I forget what I was playing/watching recently, but a female character's voice just popped out for being high pitched and goofy like some anime characters, but it was in English and actually worked. I sort of "remember" Japanese characters saying things in English (lol), and that's exactly how the voice sounded to me. So I do think it's as much a matter of execution as being a language/culture barrier thing, lol.

I can attests that most dubs do in fact suck, but there are exceptions. And no, contrary to what one may think, I am not a weaboo, I hate that term just as much as the next guy.
