Hello everyone.

Has anyone else had trouble getting AetherSX2 to run consistently on Android? I recently set it up on a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 device and the performance is inconsistent, some games run at a stable framerate while others chug badly even with similar system requirements.

I have already tried adjusting the renderer settings between Vulkan and OpenGL and messing with the EE and VU clock speeds, but nothing seems to make a lasting difference.

Are there specific configuration tweaks or BIOS versions that tend to work best for mobile setups?

Any advice from people who have really dialed in their settings would be appreciated.

Use NetherSX2, not AetherSX2 (NetherSX2-Patch may be the best for your device - NetherSX2-Turnip is an option but I'm not sure if turnip drivers are available for 8 Gen 1 that would be worth it - Avoid NetherSX2-Classic)

That is an older SoC though, PS2 is rather demanding. Don't expect more than 1x native resolution and some games can still have issues.
