So, I was wondering why some people on the forums are all like, "I don't give mah code to any one" and while I'm not saying dump your code everywhere, why not put on your profile or SIG or something? Hell, if you dont want to bother I understand, but then you got guys who want to interview you just to be able to play a match over MK7 with. Even if you don't want EVERYONE and their mom on your friends list, just don't add them or delete them. But don't be all like your code is your virginity or something.

Only one person has ever asked me to register them (from the internet, I have real friends too), but I'm always open to a MK7 or KIU match unless I have to wright a paper or something.

Easy: They are not really friends and they are a jerk, that's why. The same for My Facebook Friend is not really anybody's friend. I hate Facebook. Ugh!

Its not easy, I know. Crazy and heartless people out there. I do not understand why they breathe on Earth even thought they can be a terrible friends. Sad.

Because sigs are lame? And I thought on Ninty consoles there are no friend requests, you both have to add each other. So you'd have to mutually agree anyway.

And why would someone want to play MK7 with you? You're essentially a stranger. I could play online against any matchmaked player and it'd be equivalent to playing some random guy who looked at my sig in GBATemp.

Friend codes are special. Once you have someone's friend code, you can get into their eShop accounts and stuff.
Kinda like how you shouldn't give out your IP.

Absolute breeze.

If you know what you're doing, yeah it's possible
I find it hard to believe that having access to someone's friend code - their account/console's friend ID would enable you to do that. To me it sounds like you're just making things up.

That eshop/friend code thing is sarcasm. Too easy, gbatemp. ;o;

It's stupid trying to protect your friend code. It's not like it can affect you unless you add theirs in return.
I mean, I can add everyone in this thread and it would mean nothing, nothing of theirs is visible, and they won't be notified. Nintendo Network though...

it doesn't hurt you or anyone to show your friend code. both you and the other person would have to add each other to have some kind of effect.

I tried that once by giving out my IP address to people. Some of them said some weird information was being displayed, so I had them repeat what they saw back to me. I concluded that they typed in the IP address wrong and to try it again by typing "192.168.0.1"

Some people don't want their orange friend light flashing every 8 seconds. Some are female 3DS owner who keep their FC secret out of fear of someone sending notes requesting to be their GF or send inappropriate pics. Some don't want others to know that games they play on their 3DS at any given time.

I personally don't care who gets my FC, I spam swapnote at time and play games online with strangers all the time.
