GTA V confirmed Spring 2013

Rockstar has officially confirmed that Grand Theft Auto V is coming in Spring 2013. The window will mark the worldwide release on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, according to Rockstar, with no mention of other platforms.

Spring is their go-to season for game releases, so this isn't too surprising.

That being said, I'm looking forward to hearing more. I loved GTA IV, and I can't wait to see what Rockstar will do now with this new title.

No wii U huh, Not really surprising but maybe it will come at a later date. At least if Nintendo really wants to bring back "core" audiences like they say they do.

If not then I'll just get it on xbox as always. I look forward to it either way.

This is awesome, I am a little surprised to hear it coming out so soon when not much has been covered on the game yet. We usually see a huge ad marketing campaign for Rockstar games, so I wonder what they have up their sleeves this time.

If I remember correctly, the GTA IV PC port was plagued with bugs and whatnot. They've been worked out now, I think, and this could be entirely different, but you might want to be a bit cautious.

The difference between the last GTA from "GTA III series" and GTA IV was HUGE.

I expect the same degree of change now. If they want to make a GTA IV in other city, they should not call it GTA V.

I read the full article, and the game will take place in Los Santos, and that's a great news.

Like I said, I think all of the issues have been worked out by now, but it wasn't an ideal port at launch (Here's an article from the time briefly summarizing a few of the issues).

Don't worry about it too much, just consider it a friendly heads up. Approaching any PC port of GTA V with cautious, guarded optimism might be the best approach.

Nah, it's not just 1.0. The performance issues remain even in the latest patch. Hell, even my brother's 6-core i7 overclocked to 4.6GHz can't even max it out (lags anywhere past 40% draw distance), and the game's at least 2 years older than it.

Skeptical.
GTA IV was pretty lame, but since Saints Row seems to have taken a nose dive in quality (well, story wise...gameplay wise is pretty stellar)...maybe GTA V can step it up and steal back the market.
About the only thing to do was complete the rather bland campaign, which was about 10 hours of listening to "DON"T FUCK WITH MY FAMILY" while you killed pigeons and dated your cousin inbetween...woo...about the only thing worthwhile was free-roaming online, which was absolutely hilarious with a buddy or two.
