I hate bursting through games though, feels unsatisfactory.
I take my time with every game,

I got mine working on the R4I SDHC 3DS by just simply playing it on Desmume until I reached Floccesy Ranch then I saved, I then put the sav on to my flashcart and that solved the save freeze problem!!!

I tried that though, I opened my Japanese save file on the English game and tried to save it but it still wouldn't work (I beat the game on that save file).

For some reason it works on my other sd card but is very slow, the other sd is faster but can't save...

Which gb are you using. It should not matter which sd you´re using. Because i have try 4gb and 8gb and 3 2gb all fortmated with sdformattern. And still no succes. I cant event play the japanese rom without random freeze and som other issue´s. thats how good the r4i-sdhc 3ds is guys.

Well it isn't bad I can tell you that, I've tried lots of games and never actually had a problem, I can play the japanese version flawlessly, this game is just too new to make it work already it seems, I'll try to get to the ranch and save to see if it works, hopefully...

Use an unpatched rom on clean mode for that part of the game if you're using a DSTwo or copy the sav file onto your computer and use Desmume to get past it. Once you've finished PWT save and then copy the sav file back to your flashcard and voilà.

When you run unpatched it tends to freeze with a black screen and music in the background before you can load, is there a trick to this? I'm using the DSTwo.

And I did mean at this part, not in general. I got stuck here too, and tried using the "clean" mode but it just freezes at a black screen before I can load in.

Are you sure you're using a completely clean rom? I used an unpatched rom in clean mode and it worked OK-ish. There was some lagging but it got through the bit I needed it to.

Anyone who beats the game early...
Has to wait for ALL the other people who took their sweet time getting to the 8th gym leader...
Even then, odds are, you STILL have to wait until people have time to get at least six level 100s...
I say... about a month or two... or... use share FCs with people who also beat it early with six level 100s...

I got Emboar, Leavanny, Crawdaunt, Magnezone, Braviary and Lucario.

Yeah I just never realized it was so slow at first, it took forever to load, but I got through it and saved and rebooted in Patch mode to make it easier to play again, and it's perfect again for now.

I patched my White 2 ROM using DS-Scene and the C-Gear still doesn't work. (Playing on R4 Wood) Anybody else have this problem?

Also getting this exact issue.

BTW, is anyone having trouble connecting to the internet with the patched White 2 on the DSTwo? I was at the mall and since their Wi-Fi is unsecured, I thought I could use it to get Genesect.

Tried the clean rom with and without the patching... (clean mode),
Self-Patched the clean for the AP and tried it with and without patching (clean mode...),
Tried downloading a pre-patched, with similar results,
all while using the latest firmware...

Ever thought about investing into a new card...
or...
Double check to see that you PROPERLY patched the game earlier...

See but the weird thing is that ever other game works on the card, it's only these.

I bet it's an issue with Wood 1.52.....

Yeah I don't know what the relationship is between r4i-gold 3ds and wood 1.52 but it doesn't seem to work for these games. I have it working fine on my R4 original with wood 1.52 (patched rom). Maybe if you download wood from the r4ids.cn website it'll work better or maybe you have to get the one from filetrip?

It's probably something we'll just have to wait to get resolved, just play on the emulator for now and then export the battery save when they finally get everything working on the r4i-gold. The emulator exports the same save type that is used by pretty much all R4s. I did this for white last year when I was waiting for my R4 to come in (hadn't realized that they weren't updating supercard SD anymore so I ordered an R4 for the first time).

Just formatted it today with the Panasonic formatter found here. Worked right away! I had it overwrite the entire card before it formatted. So glad it's not my R4i-Gold.

A little update for dstwo users. I had first played clean b2 with random freezes in clean mode. Patch mode would freeze at start screen every time.
I just decided to trim the Rom and see what happens. Note I did not patch it, it's still clean. Trimmed clean Rom in clean mode working perfectly now aside from slight lag here and there. Played 2 hours straight with no problems. BTW I'm playing on 3ds with latest firmware if that makes any difference.

Don't know if anyone else has encountered this, but my game freezes after the first round of the Driftveil tournament, right after you defeat your rival. I'm on Supercard DStwo using an AP patched rom.

I'm having this exact problem as well (all DSTwo users seem to be). I've been reading in this thread that the fix is to use an un-patched ROM on clean mode for that part of the game. The problem is, I just get a white screen after loading the game when using those settings. Similarly, I can't complete this portion of the game using an un-patched ROM on patch mode since the game freezes whenever I exit the party screen, including after I select the three Pokemon to use in the tournament.

If anyone has a solution for this other than copying your save file to your computer and completing this part on an emulator, please do tell.
