My mom's friend has a little girl who has an old GBA SP, and I was thinking of getting her a flash cart for it for her birthday, but she's only going to be 7 years old and I'm worried that if there's an SD card in it, she might end up losing it. Are there any GBA flash carts that you can connect directly to a PC with USB and load games onto an internal memory space?

If such a thing does not exist, what is the best and/or cheapest GBA flash cart I can get her?

There are but I highly recommend getting one with MiniSD or CF or SD.
They have more capacity then ones with internal memory.

Good choice is the EZ4.
It's GBA card sized and works with pretty much any GBA game.

Pretty much what DinohScene mentioned. I believe that even if you were able to track them down, chances are they will be really costly & replacing MiniSDs won't seem so much a problem; reason being that 99% if not all are not produced anymore afaik and some people think it is a good idea to sell their old beat up ones at collector's edition worthy price (read: Half your liver and probably an arm as well). :)

I agree. When I first heard of SD equipped flash carts, my head exploded from imagining the jump in capacity.
She shouldn't be able to lose it as long as she keeps it in the cart at all times until she needs to put more files on it.
