Hacking Stable Build of SaveGame Manager GX?

Does anyone know if there is a stable version of SaveGame Manager GX?

I just tried the latest version and it is very buggy, cant copy or install saves. It only list 4 saves.
I want to play animal crossing again and hack it but I have now way to get the R4forest.dat file anymore.
Is there another solution to getting this file without the disc?

Honestly, over the years I have tried many different version of savegame manager GX, and I always came to the conclusion that it was very buggy... even the so called stable versions. They always either code dump on my, not show all that is really there, or just flunk out before getting anywhere usable. That software just plain old sucks, IMHO.

The only savegame manager that I've used that has been reliable (surprisingly) was waninkoko's that was release like 4 years ago. I will still use it now (even though I despise waninkoko) because it has been the most reliable savegame manager to date.

Yea I remember using waninkokos all the time but now I no longer have the disc lol.
I did find a mod finally though, it reads all the saves off the wii and lets you choose whatever to extract / install.
No disc required.

OK, that's just weird. I use SaveGame Manager GX quite a bit and frequently update my SD card to the newest version as well, and I have NEVER had a single issue with it. Heck I've even extracted my Tetris Party Deluxe save, imported it into Dolphin, made a new record score in Dolphin, extracted the Dolphin save, installed it on my Wii, and all my data and the new record score was there on the Wii.

For reference, my Wii is a launch unit and the only softmods it has is HBC, bootmii, and that soft-mod that allows burned GCN disks to run from NeoGamma (never could get DIOS-MIOS to work and Devolution doesn't support modified ISOs) I use a 2GB non-HC Sandisk SD card and always have an official 251-block GCN memory card in the first slot.

I use the version of 2010-01-02 and had never problems with exporting + importing savegames or with exporting Miis. Most, I make a fill backup.
