Looking to maximise the effectiveness of my PS2 by grabbing a few emulators. Preferably for Genesis, SNES and GBA if they're available. Problem: Don't have the faintest clue where to start. I got a bunch of ROMS to use, but no emulator. What are the best ones, what makes them the best, and how do I use them with my PS2, which right now is using an official Sony memory card with FreeBoot, I think its version 1.8 or something.

Well what i did was go to freemcboot.info (there official site) and low and behold there was the links to the emulators

http://sksapps.com/i...?page=emus.html

Without being a dick, if you went to the official website you wouldnt of had to look very hard

It's been so long since I hacked my PS2 that I totally forgot about that. My bad.

Yeah sorry my reply was pretty blunt and a little harsh. Either way I hope that link answers your question

There is a very limited range and your PSP emulates various systems much better...the PS2 emulation scene never took off. It's the original Xbox where it's at!

My PSP is out on loan at the moment, hence my decision to put emulators on to my PS2 for a while. I got the files I need to keep myelf entertained for a while.

In which case your PC (in whatever form) is probably preferable for emulation. The PS2 had such an amazing game library that most people just stuck to that...
