I currently purchased the EZ Flash Vi and im trying to figure it out. It seems to not work on my 3DS, but works perfectly on my 3ds light. It says my firmware is up to date, so im clueless on what i should do right now. Would someone please help, it would be much appreciated.

You need to apply the actual firmware update, not just put the latest kernel/software/menu on the MicroSD (that's often called "firmware" by mistake).

Unfortunately the latest EZ-Flash Vi firmware only supports up to 3DS 4.0, if you're on later (like 4.2 or 4.3) it won't work until they release an update.

how do i apply the most recent one? when i hit "Y" it says the firmware on this card is up to date.

and i reset my 3ds to factory settings so i should be alright

Reseting 3DS to factory settings does nothing to 3DS version. Once you moved past 4.0, it becomes permanent. So a 3DS with 4.3.0.0-10 is permanent, no way to downgrade it.

ughh, then the new one i get wouldnt be future proof either.. i'll just play it on my lite -____-

thx for the input though :D
