As long as you have an R4 Gold or DSTwo or some other flashcart that updates within 24 hours, you're good to go.Probably the same flashcard blocking thing. That's why i don't update mine anymore.

Ugh. I pity you. I was almost going to get an EZ Flash Vi, but then I saw they haven't updated in forever even though they're technically "still active."Nah, mine's a Acekard. It takes a long time to be updated.

Well 1.1 fixed some network bugs, 2.0 brought the eshop and browser and software transfer, 2.1 brought the Ridge Racer bugfix, 2.2 added jumping into games from the friendslist, 3 was a big update that added 3D video recording, demos to the eshop, parental control panel updates and QR code transfer, 4.0 brought the ability to patch phsycial games andIf Nintendo issues a system update, what does it (USUALLY) contain?
a) behind the scenes updates
b) flashcard blocks
c) absolutely nothing, just an update to raise the number in the system settings
d) bug fixes that are actually useful
Circle the correct answer.

I also hear it'll add the magical ability to transform your 3DS into a Vita with the press of a button! My inside source told me that the update will overclock the GPU and CPU and double battery life, as well as a browser update to support flash.

Easy: Sony fans who'd rather spend only $160 on a 3DS that can transform into a Vita, rather than a non-transforming Vita that costs $250.But who would turn their 3DS into a Vita?

There's only one reason why that'd be stupid and that's because you wouldn't be able to transfer photos. The rest of the data there is useless by itself and you pretty much need to have an SD card in the system for most stuff. And you can only have one eShop account, so yeah.I've heard that this update will lock your SD card to the 3DS. You won't be able to use it in anything before formatting it.
