Hacking DIOS MIOS (Lite)

Check the Credit page in USBGX, it will tell you what it detected (DM or DMLite).
If you use DM it shouldn't ask you to copy to SD.

Edit:
Maybe you are not launching the correct version.
If you launch the "Full Channel", it will still launch version 3.0, not the one you have on your SD card!
Launch the "Forwarder Channel" or use the Homebrew Channel.

Sorry to bother you again man, turned out I had DML installed so I installed Dios Mios and now it doesn't ask for copying the game any more wich is a progress, however now I get a black screen at game start, no splash screen, I didn't try to have a disk inserted and tbh I don't want to, what shall I do?

First partition, primary, active, FAT32, 32k Cluster size or less (no 64k).

Some HDD have detection problem (try few time), some don't work at all.

Well they are on the HDD, it's a Toshiba 500GB formatted to FAT32 32KB Cluster size, first partition, I'm not sure how to check for "Primary" and "Active" or not, btw I used Wii Backup Manager to format cause Windows refused to format it to FAT32, does this matter? also I have both my Memory Cards connected, do they matter too?

I noticed on the compatabily list that the NMM option of metal gear is blank not stating if it works or not. I was wondering if anyone has it working for the NTSC version or not. It doesn't work for me. Oh and I still get a pink screen after the DM logo in NFSU 1&2. Any suggestions?

How do you get GCReEx to work, I drag the iso image over the application but the command prompt just pops up and shuts down immediately?

Do not just dragdrop the file on it, you need to run it manually from a command line prompt to see what's written and prevent the program from closing the window automatically.

run "cmd" on windows. it will open a command prompt.

navigate to your GCreEx folder

cd
add a space after cd
drag and drop the folder to the command window, it will add the path to that window automatically
press enter
if it's on a different partition, type the letter partition followed by ":", for example:
E:
and press enter

Now type GCreEx.exe

It will not auto-close, and you will see the usage.

maybe you should use what you understand. (it's not an insult, but just pointing that hacking is not for every newbie, you need to learn things in the correct order. Doing things you don't understand can be dangerous)

What do I do after I get it up?

Okay, I get the error, failed to open :game.iso/sys/boot.bin

Yes I know what it does, I already have them running via diskex, I just wanna free up some space since I dont have an external hard drive.

I haven't reached the end of Disc 1 to test it yet and I haven't felt like d/loading a save file, so once I run through the game I'll post the results here, pretty much from what I've gathered I'll be able to save prior to the disc swap and I'll have to reboot/re-start and launch disc but I'll find out soon enough ;-)

Can someone help me out? I'm trying to play Megaman Anniversary Collection and at first, it would load but freeze right after it shows Bink Video. I decided to get the iso and sys folder from my friend afterwards since he plays it with no problems whatsoever. Now that i did that, i just get the error saying "FATAL: Set you working directory correctly, you MUPPET!!!!" I'm pretty sure i put everything correctly in my USB, so what the hell!?

Funny cuz I never thought about it, figured I'd cross that bridge when I got there. Now that I think about it though I know 2 disc extraction support was added to GCReEx 0.3 so maybe once I load a savegame for disc 2 it will automatically just load the game..? Well I'll know soon.

@Cyan tried everything, still black screen, however tried to install DML 202 and it worked perfectly fine except the reset combination key doesn't work, so I went back to DML 1.5 anyway this means that I have everything right in USBLoader GX, I also tried DM 2.0 and didn't work either, looks like I'm back to DML

You can also use Windows:
Open command prompt and type:
format X: /fs:fat32 /size:32k
Not that you need to replace "X" with the actual drive letter of the hard drive you want to format.
Be careful not format the wrong drive!

Either way, yes, you will lose all your data when formatting.

For the reset key combination to work in later versions of DM/DML, you have to enable pad hook in the USB Loader GX settings.
