Gaming Updated my 3ds, no access to nds =(

Not sure if this is a kosher thing to do here, or if it's the right forums(probably not). But I'm wondering if anyone is in the downtown chicago area will lend me their nds for a few minutes to update my cart.

I have a 3ds that i updated(i thought to 4.2) but apparently it updated to 4.3. With no access to a nds I'm out of luck. I've got a few trips coming up and would like to have a cart to bring with me.

Although acekard hasn't put out the patch for 4.3 and my travels don't start until later this month, so I have a bit of time to work with.

I really want it done by middle of September as my family is taking a trip to Asia.

You could try to go to a Gamestop and ask to "Try" one of their Nintendo DS's and then surreptitiously update it.

maybe I missed it somewhere, but which cart r u trying to update? I think some of them can be updated on a 3ds even if they've been blocked. I know people have had luck with the supercard dstwo. not real sure about others. too bad there's not some sort of usb device to update flash carts without a system needed. I guess it'd be difficult with so many of them out there, but there might be a demand due to the 3ds' firmware updates.

Can't you just buy a DS from Gamestop, upgrade with it, then return it using the receipt?

Edit: Nvm...I don't think they'll take opened merchandise as returns...
Edit 2: Then again, I guess used products can be returned.

Yeah it's an acekard 2i. I'll check out craigslist. Thought about the gamestop route, but was going to just buy a used one and return it a day later or something like that. I rarely go into the local one so I don't know how the guys would react to something like that. It would look kinda sketchy.

lol...that is a pretty good idea. I know u can return a game that was used with so many days, but does that also apply to used hardware?
