Nice one FIX94, thank you for the update... Neek compatibility sounds excellent. :)

About devolution support,

Would it be possible in future to have an option to specify save/load data on sd or usb?

I have apps on sd and devolution will not save on my sd unless I load .iso off sd too... as I load .iso off usb it saves on usb:/apps/gcdevo.
Because I have no apps folder on usb, it creates new folder(s) and saves there (usb:/apps/gcdevo instead of sd:/apps/gcdevo)

Cheers.

ATM I dont think I'll add that, it would require a check if its a FAT filesystem and things like that.

BTW I've uploaded a neek compatible forwarder to google code, so you can load wiiflow inside neek2o now using this forwarder :)

Anybody getting SSBM to work thru Devolution in Wiiflow? On Wiiflow-Dev I can only pass the "Play in Progressive Mode" then it seems to freeze after that. In Devolution itself I got it to work fine. Thanks.

I dont think it freezes, I more think its the wrong video mode after that. BTW I use the same video mode settings as the internal devolution loader, so that cant be. You may just play around with the video modes, I'm sure you use some wrong setting. Also, may cleanup your setup.

No problem FIX94 I didn't know if it was straightforward or more complicated... I just wish it had been an option in devo loader because I'd rather keep my apps on sd and backups on usb, but its no problem.

I'd rather have something than nothing at all.

Thanks again for the update.

I'll see what I can do with changing video modes. Thanks for the reply FIX94

Edit: I've tried video modes: default, game, ntsc 480i, & ntsc 480p. Non worked and just black screened after it say progressive display has been enabled. It's not a Pal game cuz I ripped it personally using clean rip. Btw, what do you mean clean up my setup?

when i try to open wiiflow in neek2o it asks me to choose a partition. when i click left or right i immidietly get an exception error. nand mode and homebrew mode work though.
i'm on neek r89 and wiiflow r590. any advice?

edit: when i choose usb1 on real nand, it recognizes my wbfs games on neek2o, but not my fst games. when i click left/right on the partition option i still get an exception error.

first i've to fix my hdd. devolution wiped all data for me
Oh no... :(
Well i think it was devolution. Let me get this straight with the whole story:

- Kids were playing game in devolution (worked great)
- Kids were done playing, so i reset the wii
- Back in the SM I went to hbc
- In hbc no apps popped up
- Then I checked the hdd on my pc and there was only 1 file left with wierd characters in its name

That's cool. Its nice to know that JoyFlow and WiiFlow are now pretty much one and the same.
What would really be nice is if someone could make up a forwarder that would boot neek2o and then go straight into WiiFlow. That would save us some steps ... PriiLoader doesn't work in neek2o does it? if it did, I could always just have a neek2o channel with a WiiFlow banner and have my emu-priiloader autoload the WiiFlow.
Anyway, I'd assume that in neek2o it would be a little bit less of a problem keeping DM, DML and QuadForce files with different names and just loading the right one.

Yeah, still a little buggy, Other people have had that happen, too.

Well that's a kick in the nuts. Devolution = FAIL

How many people has this happened to so far?

@[member='FIX94'], First let me say that I love 590, you're doing a hell of a job. :D

I am curious as to why you decided to set devolution as the default GC loader. The way I see it, Devo is still very recent and experimental. (see above) Also the way you have the option set up in the game settings, with Devo being default and it being a selectable option seems a bit redundant. Plus Dios Mios has been around longer, and I think most if not all that use wiiflow already have and use DM(L). The only reason I use devo is because it fixes audio streaming with some games.

Here's how I feel the Devo option should be. Set Dios Mios as the default, with a Devolution yes/no button. That way the user doesn't have to manually choose DM as the loader for the majority of their games.

@Anybody, Can anyone confirm if BMX XXX and Catwoman (Specifically the NTSCU versions) work with DM and/or Devo? BMX XXX just gives me a black screen from either one (worked with DML), and Catwoman freezes up with DM (haven't tried Devo yet)

Fix, you are great! The modifications and optimizations you made are awesome.
General feature request (summery of the last sites):
  • Default Option in the General Settings for DiosMios or Devolution
It should be possible to set the default settings for DiosMios, Devolution or the already implemented "automatic detection mode". Some users prefer to use DiosMios instead of Devolution (due to the not stable release of Devolution). It would be more comfortable to change the default settings instead of the game settings (for each game).
  • Banner Option
It's already implemented to disable the banner in the game settings. However it would be nice if it's possible to deactivate the whole banner functionality (so that the user sees the title instead of the banner if he selected the game).
A further optimization would be to toggle between the title (only the title of the game will be displayed if a game is selected), the big banner (which is now implemented) and the small banner (which is used in the wii save state management; in the wiiflow gamecube mode etc.)
  • Exit To
The optimization of the "Home Button" Menu (Update Wiiflow, Exit Wiiflow, Reload Cache, etc.) is good. However it would be nice if the user can choose if he wants to exit to the loader immediately, to the wii system menu immediately, to power down immediately etc. without the request. Means there is an option in the general settings with the name "Exit To". The "Exit To" Option becomes irrelevant if the user always has to select where to go.

These are only suggestions, but I think Fix is already aware of it. =)

This has happend to me to, But atleast I tryied it on a usb pen first so it wasn't a big biggy for me. But I myself will wait a couple of revisions before I try again.

Guys, it will only use devolution if it also finds the loader.bin, if its not found it will simply use dios-mios. So if you dont wanna use devolution then dont install it.

Well, I am using devolution. But only for a few games (1080, Waverace and Starfox).
The rest of the games run with dios-mios. The reason is very simple. I can save storage capacity with Dios Mios.

However if I use both (diosmios and devolution) I can increase the game compatibility to about 95%.
