hmm thats kinda cool I guess watching it on the gamepad. I don't see why if i was to watch it on there, I wouldn't just watch it on my phone or tablet instead :P

well, i suppose its more convenient to thoughs who sshare a tv with the family, for example say your parents wanna watch american idol and you don't wanna be bored to death, hit the button, plug in some headphones and bam your good to go. :)

Looks nice. I'll use the app here instead of the one on my 3DS. It's pretty convenient being able to instantly switch from TV to controller.

I would use the Android Netflix app on my Galaxy Tab 10.1 if it didn't freeze all the damn time.

Very nice. Glad they have the option to use either the tablet or the tv.

@soulx the android app just needs work. I have problems scrolling sideways and random crap like that. ;c But this is kind of derailing so i'll shut up.

What if the WiiU could have one Netflix stream shown on the TV, and a separate Netflix stream on the gamepad? Just a random thought.
not a bad idea :) bro and sis are sharing a wiiu and want to watch mommy's netflix account but have different taste, bam one watches on the controller and the other the tv! or in my case, roomate claims my takes over my wiiu for his netflix fix, and i wanna watch something too bam! problem solved, but i don't think nintendo will do this, because if one is using the controller, than the guy watching the tv won't be able to pause, stop or reqind what he is watching

Better yet, you're watching a movie and have to take a dump. Just take the controller to the toilet and continue watching

Anyway, I suspected they would allow video streaming to the gamepad and it's kind of nice that it's pretty much confirmed now

Playing a game while watching netflix. Maybe you can play personal music from the controller?
This is good for near-sighted people who didn't feel like putting glasses on. :P

Your over thinking it, remember 3D netflix for the 3DS?

Yeah, and I doubt it ever will. Netflix does not seem to like using anything they put Netflix on to use it to even half its potential. I got it on my Xperia Play and it doesn't even respond to gyro.

You could probably still use the wiimote to navigate through netflix.
