I was hoping for a Retina Display laptop, but that'll just drive up the cost.

Ivy Bridge for Air? How about Pro? It's about time Apple cares for its MBP.

And I'm all excited for iOS 6.

At least there still the optical drive for boot camp.

I'm likely getting a MBP next year, quad core Ivy Bridge sounds so sexy.

Wow. NEXT GEN MBP?
That MacBook is so darn thin!
RETINA DISPLAY :D

i want a new laptop now!

tho best time to buy is right after xmas when apple haters inevitably get them as gifts from their rich grandparents and they turn around and sell them in craigslist not knowing their value.

diablo 3 retina ready? that's a lot of pixels.

so steve jobs dies and they add hdmi. it is truly unnecessary since the thunderbold adapters are so cheap. steve is flipping in his grave.

New MacBook Pro, 2880 X 1880@ 220 dpi.

If its at the same price,
Usually Apple just updates the core models and stops selling older ones (or phases them out ASAP). If the old business model is still in place, I believe we'll see new models with the same price. If they'd change the MBP HDD to SSD (and keep the memory at ~500GB), I'd be willing to change my MBP 15" to a new one :O

Now release the iPhone5 already :P

there is no mention of 17 inch model. my heart is sad.

and the entry price went up by a lot.
Well, it's the best laptop ever, it can't be cheap, y'know :P

Also, probably still no Retina in 17". I mean, upping the inches from 10.1" to 15.4" still keeping the ultra-high resolution is already a big feat in itself... they'll probably launch the 17" model later (next year?).

Not that amazed by the screen res. it's insanely high res but I'm getting sick of Apple's "Retina" buzzword.
As for the flash memory: That shit's going to be either slow or expensive. Yay for making Apple laptops even more stupidly priced! I know they're priced for their hardware but they really miss out on a huge portion of the market by having their base laptop priced around £1000

They've said it's 500MB/s, which is pretty much in line with top of the line SSDs.

It's the best laptop ever. There isn't any way in which you can deny that. It packs SO much technology in it, it's astoundishing. It HAD to cost that much.

They have the Macbook Air for that price :P The NG MBP will come down in price eventually, but for now, it's costly. I mean, probably that screen alone costs over $400 :O

Interesting move, using flash storage. IMO I'm expecting that to be a growing trend among Laptops as well, with Desktops switching over to SSDs when they become less expensive. :ninja:

those are some awesome features. hands down if this was on e3... best conference ever

ofcourse macbook cannot be used for high end games due to lacking good graphics card and games AND there seems to be a kind of exaggeration and pride in the way they are presenting. eg. Safari - the most popular browser ... ya right
and also, comparing the android in a very demeaning way. At least i think they are doing so. they are good no doubt esp with the features they are mentioning on ios6 at the moment.
