True, but the problem is, you mess up enough times, and you get pushed WAYYYY back to the beginning (intensity 2, even if you can pull intensity 5 or 6 on a regular basis without trouble). If you ride a bike 2-wheeled really fast, and fall and scrape your knees, you wait for your knees to heal, and start riding the bike again on 2 wheels, at a slower speed you can handle. The intensity system in Uprising, in my opinion, is more like if you fell off the bike 2-wheeled going too fast a few times, and then were forced to go back to training wheels with your dad pushing you. I have no problem with being trained, but I have a problem with basically having to grind at difficulties way too low for myself just to get back up to a moderate difficulty. you see what i mean?

I see what you're getting at. It makes sense....but at the same time, it's happened to me, and I just went to multiplayer and had some fun with that while earning hearts. It's a tough system, the Fiend's Cauldron, but you can find a difficulty that has good enough rewards while most likely not killing you.

I see what you're getting at. It makes sense....but at the same time, it's happened to me, and I just went to multiplayer and had some fun with that while earning hearts. I've done it, oh man how satisfying that was.

Admittedly used feathers for the Collect All Powers goal, and for Boss Battles Hard. I'm doubtful I will be able to survive all the bosses on 9.0, but I'm still going to try.
Collecting powers through random luck isn't appealing, I still don't have Pisces Heal Lv 2 and a couple of Together mode powers.

Oh, and I did most of the chapters using my favourite beam claws.
There's exceptions like the 9.0 mandatory challenges, I did Chapter 10 using a Ball Cannon for its effective enemy elimination during air battles, I did chapter 11 with a Phoenix Arm (good lord I hated that), and I opted to do chapter 23 with my Earthmaul club.
I actually did Chapter 24 on my first attempt with those Beam Claws, it was a close call but I handled it with determination.

Haha, kudos dude. That must've taken many hours. I'm close there myself, with only 8 more chapters to kill on 9.0, but my 3DS is in for repairs (rageeee L and R buttons!) so I'm on break for now.

I hate fusing the Overall Defense +8 attribute. So aggravating.

Plus, I'm pretty sure it's fine to take your time to beat all levels on 9.0. It is a game. As for me, I'm going through and beating all the levels on 7.5+, when I have time. It racks up the hearts and weapons, and I can always go back and do more 9.0 runs when I feel like it.

Plus, I'm pretty sure it's fine to take your time to beat all levels on 9.0. It is a game. As for me, I'm going through and beating all the levels on 7.5+, when I have time. It racks up the hearts and weapons, and I can always go back and do more 9.0 runs when I feel like it.

For me it was more like when I get around to it

I did most chapters on 9.0 on either the first attempt, or the second/third for one reason or another.

The one that gave me the most trouble was Chapter 19, since you need to do that one with a Club. Easily the chapter I was finished on the most times, more than 5 I'm certain.
Second most problematic for me was Chapter 11 on 9.0 with a Phoenix Arm. God I hate arms, Clubs are tricky to use and the Earthmaul club isn't exactly exceptional, but they have their potential in better skilled hands. That chapter took me three tries.
Chapters 18 and 23 I was finished once, Chapter 18 was because Pit's Body is very dangerous, Chapter 23 because I got critical and wasn't able to take out a Firewyrm towards the end, that thing is actually very dangerous.
Chapter 24 I somehow cleared first attempt, go me. Same goes for a number of chapters on 9.0 actually, like 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 25.

Chapter 7 I tried to clear on 9.0 early, wasn't able to for a while but did eventually. Chapter 20, I'm not sure I cleared that one on my first attempt, the last enemy wave is tough without a strategy to go on. Chapter 21's air battle is the hardest part, far harder than anything the land battle throws at you. Chapter 23 is also just balls hard, especially with Hades Heart.

Let's see though, my times finished count after all 9.0 clear was just 44. What a refreshingly challenging game!

As much as it frustrates me sometimes, it makes me happy overall, honestly. At this rate, the game is going to last me a LONG time before I truly "beat" it. And that's impressive, especially for a handheld!

Oh absolutely, I still haven't truly cleared it, Boss Rush Hard has eluded me, it's too much.

I still haven't beaten boss rush, period. On my first run, i got to

and died seconds after the battle began cuz I had no health left. I hadn't tackled it since. However, I DO have much better weapons now than I did then, so perhaps if I do a run now, I'll have better results.

Mine is much higher than yours, that's for sure. I've only cleared the first 3 chapters, and I got finished at least 10 times on chapter 3. Working on chapter 4 right now, I've been finished at least 5 times.

Holy crap, @RupeeClock ! You are AMAZING at this game. Seriously incredible. Just about all of those stats amazed me, but ~800 current weapons?! I thought you fused a lot...I have a way smaller number. Most of my weapons are pretty customized, in the process of being fused to be stronger, or newly acquired. It's just hard to wrap my mind around how amazing you are at this game. You must be one of the top players in the world, seriously. Isn't the last chapter super hard on 9.0? And you spent so much hearts on Palutena, just for fun...wow. We really need to play a match sometime. Although you don't seem to play multiplayer that much, you'll still probably trash me according to your stats on that too.

I haven't beaten it on 9, but I personally doubt chapter 25 is the hardest one on intensity 9... unlike the other chapters where higher intensity increases the amount of enemies, here it can only increase the damage and resistance from Hades.

The trick to beating Chapter 25 is just having the right weapon, optimally you'll want something with 6 stars ranged damage and standing continuous fire +4 for maximum damage output.
In all air battles, final chapter included, this makes enemies go down fast.
Additionally you will probably still want something like an overall defense boost and a health boost or recovery effect on that weapon. It doesn't matter what weapon you use for Chapter 25, just the stats.

Actually increasing the intensity factors in a few things, typically at 9.0:
- Enemies become much more aggressive, attacking and firing far more often. You may notice the colour of their shots even change with intensity.
- You receive far more damage, additionally enemies have much higher health.
- There can sometimes be a few more enemies but these are oddly specific instances. Chapter 4 on 9.0 has a pretty weird occurance, as does Chapter 5 on at least 5.0, or seeing what a certain Belunka spits out on Chapter 19 on 9.0. I believe you may also see some bonus enemies that will only spawn on specific segments if the intensity is high enough.

Naturally, being allowed to go through intensity gates and the value of weapons dropped being much much better. It's worth mentioning you can get some of the highest value weapons without playing 9.0, I've received 341 weapons on 8.0 and I think even 7.5 before. The difference is that 341 is much more likely when the intensity is at its peak, and also based on the duration of the chapter. This is partially why Chapter 1 always has weak treasure even on 9.0

After mI found my perfect farming weapon. All the chapters in 9.0 have been done in ONE TAKE! Except chapter 24. The last boss of it is hard. Hades is a joke.

Wow, Rupeeclock seems to have a fan. XD You're lucky I don't spend my time in this site talking about the game 'cause in 3DS forums I'm usually the one giving knowledge and tips about the game.
By the way, The limit of weapon you can have in your stock is 1000. (which I accidentaly exceeded).
Having good weapons isn't that hard actually. You farm chapters in 9.0 (some are VERY GOOD).
But the difference between a regular player and a very good one is to pick off the stats and number of stars you want and fuse it into the weapon you want.
It's not hard but very time-consuming.

LOL! What, I like testing players and see what makes them tick. I usually do so to train with my clan. XD I have a large collection of good weapons in my arsenal. That's why I'm called the analyser or strategist. XD
