folders and eshop looking awesome, i like this alot.

and using QR codes in the eshop now? even better.

now...how does the QR code format work for the eshop to get free stuff ?

eshop://[appid] etc.
It's just a url qr code.
We've been able to scan them by using the lite camera (L/R from the home menu) for months, but hey if people want to launch the eshop, click the bottom, click settings/others, scroll down, click "Scan QR", and then do it, who are we to point out a faster way to do it?

It is, but it's the exact same thing. You're just going through extra steps unless they plan to remove QR from the camera lite.

Mario Kart changed I can confirm, now we have "Random" in choose track screen on multiplayer mode

Uhhh...The Random option has been there since the game was released...

Yeah, of course. Nintendo specifically said they were making preparations now for Mario Kart 7; they didn't say they were patching it yet.

WAIT, can someone go into the internet browser and check what the version number is before they update?

Fixes glitches in Mario Kart 7 (unless you consider that as "behind the scenes"). And probably blocks flashcarts again (no way to know for sure till that happens, though)

False, we will get the MK7 update in mid-may. And it's only to remove the most common shortcut glitches.
This particular firmware brought the ability to create folders and the ability to patch retail games.

Yes, that indeed is the glitch.

Yeah. The folders are useful tbh. Makes my main menu less cluttered. Waay less cluttered. And now that it's fixed, I plan to buy it.

It's out already in NA and I heard Australia(possibly everywhere PAL region, idk).

The folders are a nice addition, but still limited. You can name them whatever, but only the first letter/number shows up on the folder. The top screen icon is generic, since you can't assign a pic or anything, just says the folders name.

The other update is the eshop look; it's a little more organized(with main categories on the bottom and the random stuff still on top) but there's still no way to see a complete alphetical order of everything available, which is a let down. So in a way, it was kind of pointless.

Unsure of anything else at this time. :x

Good then, Nintendo network is just the name of the online service. It has already lauched, for the most part. If you're talking about the personal accounts, that was for the Wii U. They didn't say anything about the 3DS.

Does anyone have a link to the previous exact wording of the "User Agreement" that Nintendo requires you "accept" before updating? I was wanting to compare them, just to see if they have changed.

Probably just me but the wording seems a little different then I remember from last time and I'm curious.

There isn't one that you must accept before updating.
