Yes he bloody does. After those magical five words, he is critical of Nintendo of releasing a console to compete with the PS3 and 360, at a time when the PS3 and 360 successors are regarded as 'coming soon.' Unless you need everything spoonfed, his sentiment is pretty clear. Could he have expressed it better? Yes. But is understandable what he means by the Wii U being outdated? Yes.

Understandable it may be, but where's the truth in that sentiment? The way I see it, they were competing against Microsoft and Sony as a whole, and he never explains how it's competing with the 360 and PS3 other than that article saying that "it will be stronger than them", which simply means it will be stronger than them. We get the same message out of the first sentence as we dp out of the whole line, I mean the rest is pretty much implied anyway.

Not that it matters at this point, it's just leading into the train yard.

Personally I hope the Wii U's third party support doesn't comprise of 360/PS3 ports. That would be a very dangerous situation for the Wii U to be in as it loses what makes it unique.

I'm slightly worried that it will. Devs will probably see the Wii U as a chance to "open" Nintendo gamers to games that were originally, well, non-Nintendo. In otherwords, it's a great way to pull more people in with half-a$$ed ports that casual gamers will eat up because they don't play enough games to decide otherwise.

I don't understand. There are no announced specs except confirmation that IBM is making a POWER based CPU for it and AMD is doing the graphics.

Everything outside of that is rumours. Even the devs haven't given us anything more than vague hints.

If you do want to start going into rumours though, the most widespread and supposedly credible one has the Wii U running an RV770 series GPU. That series of chips runs anywhere from 15% less to 100% more powerful than the chips IGN says the NextBox will be using. There hasn't actually been anything to suggest that it's in line with current gen consoles. Plus, the Wii U is going to be out for probably around two years before the other consoles.

I have a feeling the (rumor) specs could have been to level of a 2012 pc and he still say the same thing.
