Now, we can interpret this gesture in numerous ways.

1. It could be a gesture which has roots in Old England and is still used today, originating from English (well, mostly Welsh - they always had the best bows) archers showing their two fingers to the invaders, basically saying "f*ck off t*at".
2. It could be a horribly disfigured sign of peace.
3. It could be the gangsta way of showing "yo homie".
