So um I'm kind of new at the whole 3DS hacking thing but basically I was wondering if anyone has found a way to ignore the 3DS' region lock? Or if not, is it even possible?
(And not only on a flash cart, even with genuine games... because all the American ones are so much cheaper on eBay for some reason =_=)

I have hope that there will be an exploit soon. Makes you wonder why nintendo would even bother putting region lock on the 3DS when the DS didn't have it since they release firmware updates to "prevent" flashcards anyway seems all un-needed and its like they want us to play horrible dubbed games and get less games than Japan.

Seems like a desperate move from nintendo if they expect you to buy 3 3DS just to play all the games ever released but didn't it take a while for the newer PSPs to get hacked?

lol i believe the lock is simply a value in the header

how funny if we can exploit a save thing to change that :P
If only...

this are different markets with different prises, thats why.
you can get an 3ds in the us with shipping for..lets say 120€...but Nintendo wants here in Europe around 150€..its all about money.

I think it's more than that, I think the executables are signed with different key for each region.

Does that mean like you can patch the .sav file and later when it's hacked (hopefully) the .3ds file itself to make them region free? i feel so noob haha
