Hardware PSP won't start after a game crash

I tried once playing Puzzle Bobble on the PSP, but forgot the game usually crashes sending the PSP into a reboot loop (and having to restore the custom firmware) but this time it crashed and sent the PSP into complete knock-out. I try to turn it on but there's no response... I know for sure it's not the battery since it was at least 50% charged.

What firmware were you using, what plugins, what PSP model, UMD or ISO, what happens when you turn it on (no response, power LED turns on but nothing else, power LED plus backlight turns on), if possible on your firmware can you access the recovery menu, what memory stick were you using, how did you exit the game.

Maybe your PSP....sadly, is bricked. We won't know until you add further details. And no more "bumps" please.

My bad. The firmware is a custom 6.39, no plugins, PSP-2004, ISO. When I try to turn it on I get no absolute response (LED isn't turning on, nor the backlight). I can't access recovery menu (should be nore or less obvious enough), the MS is a Lexar 8GB and I never exited the game, it crashed downright before I tried to play it.

My suggestion: Find out what Mother Board you have and see if you can use a Pandora Battery on your PSP.

Try to take out your battery for 10 sec, and then turn it on. That should do the trick. Take out your memorystick too.

Or plug out battery and memstick and put in the charger and turn it on.

I tried looking around for how to find out what motherboard I have, but it either suggests to look inside the UMD slot (doesn't bring up anything useful: 81FUB) or to use a homebrew to find out (and I can't do that since I can't even turn the damn thing on). Besides, I can't get that Pandora Battery only online, right?

Unfortunately I can't do that since I only charge it by USB (I lost the wall charger). I tried taking out the battery and the MS out and turning it on, even left it for a few days like that and still no result...

There's a possibility that you accidently converted your PSP battery into a pandora. There's also a possibility of a plugin preventing your PSP from turning on. Try holding R while turning on your PSP and see if it accesses the recovery menu. Also, for those who're saying his PSP is bricked, I don't see how a PSP can be bricked just because his game crashed..

How exactly would I have converted the battery into pandora? I've seen you have to actually do certain steps for that. I tried that but the PSP does nothing (and before when I used to do that, the PSP would've just booted normally without any recovery menu.

You could try being more brief on what exactly happened to your PSP. Which model, which CFW you have and which plugins, this way someone can help you fix it.

I can't explain more of what happened to my PSP as there is nothing more than I already pointed out. I tried playing Puzzle Bubble and it stopped working. This game used to work but recently it stopped functioning. Whenever it would show up the loading screen the screen would freeze for a few seconds and the PSP would turn itself off without a warning or an error message. Last time I tried (after deleting the saved data and overwriting the iso) the PSP turned off itself again, but the difference was that it wouldn't turn on at all (as I specified in a few posts behind).
I don't know the exact CFW, I only know the version of it, that's 6.39 (pointed it up earlier). I wasn't using any plugins (no idea what those would be anyway). The model of my my PSP is 2004 (also pointed it out earlier)

cant you borrow any wall adapter? cause i really think you just have to boot you're psp with it.

None have PSPs around here, and I can't find a standard adaptor that would work with the PSP. Do you know what wall chargers would work with it?

There is no reason to suggest it will work with an AC adapter when it does not work with battery - that would ONLY happen if the battery itself where the problem, and that seems unlikely considering it would have had to coincidently broken at the same time as there was a crash in a game that had crashed before.

Xist is the only person who has made a valuable contribution to this thread thus far, and he (or she) is being largely ignored. Everyone else is spouting random theories when clearly they have no idea what will work, because no one actually knows what has happened and what the problem actually is.

But my opinion on the subject: Chances are you got a bad ISO. And in all honesty, I'm not overly sympathetic. I am strongly against piracy. If you hadn't pirated the game, there'd have been no issue.

Being cynical/ironic is not really what I would call contribution, although I don't see how he was ignored. He suggested to try getting into the recovery mode, while that doesn't work for me. Ground had a similar occurrence and he suggested what he did, so why couldn't I try it (as long as others don't have anything to suggest I have no choice). I would appreciate it if the drama was kept to a low level and my questions in regards to what adaptor I need to get would be answered.
And on your views of piracy, good that you can be loyal, but don't force it onto others. I "pirate" because I have to. Most of the games available here aren't to my liking so I end up finding them by other less legal ways. Piracy for me is not a vice, it's a hassle.

First of all, Andoru nice post and way to stick up for yourself. Second, this problem is complicated and if I were you I would avoid all the hassle and just go and buy a pandora battery from here because they're cheap. For the Magic Memory stick you can use the Lexar you spoke of earlier. There is a program called PSP grader (google and download it) to make your existing memory stick into a MMS. Five dollars and your problem will be solved As for charge adapters, I know USB adapters work as long as you have the right fitting which is USB Mini-B. Good luck man
