Hacking super mario 3d land and update

i bought the game but want to verify i can update and still use my r4i3ds.

has any one else tried it or have information on what happens after i update.

i can wait to play the game .....if it disables my homebrew i just wont play till a fix is made.

Disabled my Acekard 2i.

IMO, since the 3DS isn't even hacked yet for 3DS mode, it's worth it.

From experience these are the cards I know that run on my mario-update 3ds :

R4i 3DS
iEvolution (DSi Mode)

So yeah R4i 3DS is supported on the mario update, or at least mine works so yours should too. Just know you've gotta flash it with the latest R4i 3DS update (with the Wolf icon) or else it probably won't work.

My DSTwo had been disabled by the update. I've heard there was an update available but someone else here said his card still worked after the update, guess he was wrong.

so does anoy one know if the supercard dstwo fw fix that was released afterthe japan mario3dland came out ,will work on an american dstwo and 3ds and be able to fix the blcokon the american mario3dland cart?

seems i will need to get this wolf icon ...
as my r4i3ds gold still works in my daughters 3ds(2.1.0-4u) after the update but no longer works in my freshly updated 3ds.

after updating with the super mario 3d land cartridge
confirm the update is blocking my r4i3ds gold with the chess icon

i am now on 2.2.0-4u

and the screen halts on loading and only reads:

" an error has occurred. press and hold the power button to turn the system menu off. please refer to the operations manual for details "

oh well time to find this wolf icon.
edit...i am not so lucky at finding this update,
does anyone have a link to the version with the wolf icon ?
also i am unsure how to use R4i-3DS V1.47b English.zip

i have a AK2i and a 3DS. i already bought Mario 3DLand but i'm sitting on until the Acekard Team puts out a fix. i'm sure they're waiting for the big system update in about a week. suck not be able to play Mario 3DLand but keeping my AK2i card functional is worth it. fingers crossed they release the fix asap after the big update.

I'm sure I saw a SCDS2 fix somewhere around here...

Also you should've mentioned R4i 3DS Gold lol R4i 3DS is a little generic since there are a couple different types of those R4i's.

Took me all of 1 minute to find both fixes =p this never needed a thread if you knew that google is your best friend online (ex: "R4i Gold 3DS fix for 3DS firmware vX.XX.X" or w/e)

it doesn't say gold on the cartridge , i didnt realy know ...i forgot since the original updateing that i did way back when.
but i found the box it came in and it says it there.

oh well , these things happen...no big deal, i will just have to pull out my dsi to play homebrew and new metroid bro's and such.

i figured even though i couldnt find a thread on it , that there would be one... i stated so in my 1st post.
earlier today i did find the r4igold thread you just linked , yet it still shows no fix for the USA.
i put the update on my sdhc to find i had the wrong one and still ahev to wait for an update.
my question was still okay , i wondered if it would harm the cartridge , and it didnt . that wasnt mentioned in the other thread.

thank you. i will check out the dstwo update and see if i can use it until my r4igold gets an update.
in the mean time , im a little disapointed by mario 3d land.

Downloaded the update of Super Mario 3D Land, blocks my R4i Gold with wood. Will try the things mentioned above, keep you informed.

but is you daughter 3ds on the new smb3dl fw too?
and which region of the game did you use to update the 2 systems? and did you use the same cart to update the fw on both of them? and are there any other differences between the 2 systems, or mario games

iam getting seriously pissed off tha i can not find anyone to confirm that the new dstwo fw that was released to fix the mario3dl update for the JAP version of the gme will work for a US game, US 3ds, US dstwo ,it says JAP after the dstwo fw, and i would have though that the day the US version of the game was released we would have a bunch of threads confirming that it works or not, but no ,none, nobody is even taking about it ,here or at scdstwo site

Can't speak for the US version, but I ran the patch on my UK 3DS and the card still works after the SM3DLand update. I'd guess it's going to be the same for the US version.

my daughters 3ds is on 2.1.0-4u , never played the 3d land mario game on it... so my r4igold works on hers but not mine 2.2.0-4.

since this post below ..... i have updated my older scdstwo cartridge and it works fine in my updated 3ds, so i have homebrew and 3d land
....but the homebrew is more important to me now that i played the game.
