Thank you for sharing :)

Though, you can't share Wii game files, you can only give instruction or patches.
I edited your post without adding the edit notice so you can change the content of your post and it will look clean.

Use xDeltaGUI to create a patch of the file, and provide the patch instead.

Really nice job... could you please explain how / which program you used to extract the .LZ files?
What tool do you use to decompress the LZ files?

I think you could use CT2 (a tool for Nintendo DS) that allows you to decompress/compress LZ type 0x11 (where the first byte of the compressed file shows the number 0x11). Once you get the decompressed file, you could use that tool again to extract/export all the arc files inside that decompressed file. Then use SZS Modifier or other tool that could read/modify those models/textures inside those arc files. Here is an example of the texture of Zelda_Body in the Zelda.arc file.

That's nice! I will give it a try this afternoon myself.

Thank you very much for the info!!!

tnx dude i will make a dark link now =D
wait how to decompress with CT2??

Steps:
1. Open/run the CT2 application on PC
2. Choose from menu: File -> Open, and go to the folder where you have the compressed file and choose it to open, e.g. ObjectPack.arc.LZ
3. You will see the file open in CT2 (like in a hex-editor sub-window), then choose from menu: Tools -> LZ77/HUFFMAN Extract(U)
4. You will be asked for providing a filename, choose any name
5. Then you will be asked whether you want to open it, just click Yes
6. You will get a sub-window with a list of files (the sub-window has two menu choice: File and Edit)
7. Now you could select one or more files from the list and then choose from menu in the sub-window: File -> Export
8. Profit

Hey doombringer, congratulations on your hacks. I can't wait to try them myself.

Anyway, now that the game has been "released" can we expect your tutorial anytime soon?

maybe easy to apply patches like wimm does with Mario Kart??? dunno I'm not sure the depth of skill involved in this; what I do know is I always look forward to these contributions.

Honestly people who do stuff to games like these should be out there getting a job; not because they need one but because they have more motive then 1/2 the people who make them. It's people like you that know what people want. Keep up the good work :)

Well, I am new to the Wii hacking and for my project on NDS, I wanted to rip the images from the Wii.
When I saw this post I wanted to send a PM to doombringer to ask about how he have done it but somehow I can't make myself look like a newbie so I decided to spend 15 min with my friend http://www.google.com and I think that now I have all the info and the tools to do what I want without have to disturb doombringer.
This post quote omarzuqo but it's directed to all the one who are asking for a tutorial and asked maybe doombringer directly.

I will not tell you where / how to do it either but I will tell you like this:
start from wii graphic formats, if you have to ask what graphic formats are used or what is what, then better stop right there.

Wow, amazing. I love Death Ghirahim. I can't wait to see more.

What about putting TP-Link's face in SS? I hate the big lips and eyeliner of SS-Link :(

Thanks to all! :)
anyway, right now i dont have the original game, I ordered the special edition so i need to wait until i get it. :( (damn)
However i think is useless to do a guide/patch for the iso-Demo, with the different structure of the files in the iso (i think the full game will be different, maybe with new compression?
or maybe maintain some files in the same way.. i dont know.)

When i get it, and when i understand if the iso will be the same or not, then i will release what we need to do this hacks, no problems.
I will do a guide too for where to find things.

New good news, ITEMS exploit.
hylian.png

Then, all link's stuff (items, weapons) are compressed "too" in another part (in the iso), but every item is a brres+texture+animation,
and you can easily extract them, "change" and repack, then re-compress the archive and put back in the iso (works well).

For now i think is possible to change link sword into all enemy weapon swords, like goblin or ghiraim sword (have the same structure)
or change his stuff like we want.

It's possible to create a brres and make the monster hunter 3 weapon on it, lol will be great.
Stay tuned.

my first thought when i started the game was this needs a texture pack, it looked like it could be done just based on the layout. sweet maybe we can get LoZ:SS HD textures! lol.
