I'd preferably like a system that could be used over the games themselves (as opposed to backing out of a game to launch another app), but apart from that, this looks great. I wonder how long it'll take for the message to send - one would hope it'd be instantaneous, but from my experience with the Wii messaging system, that was never the case for me.

If they could upgrade the friend list to text message sending.

Cuz this app can even send photos and sounds.

That'd be ideal. If it could be overlayed like that then, we could do cross game texting, which would be cool. I guess my only thought for this service as is, though, is when you receive a message, how will you know you've gotten one? I imagine something simple like the light flashing and that little message popping up on the top screen would do it, but do you have to read it in the app? Because that would mean that you'd have to quit your current game to read a message, which I'm not to keen on..

Funny, they finally do it,even take it a step farther, but in some eyes, they still miss full expectations.

You should be able to read messages in the Notifications. I wouldn't see why not...

But due to the way the system works, you'd need to specify turning notifications on.
And the notification wouldn't show images, just redirect you to the app itself. Not really worthwhile IMO

notifications is capable of displaying images, when I got the spotpass for the E-shop games preview, and 4 swords it showed images of the games.
I don't see why it wouldn't.
Also, is it really that hard to specify whether or not you want spotpass notifications from the app? It probably asks that first, considering that it depends on spot/streetpass for delivering most messages.

Oh, never noticed it could show images. And no, but if it's the only way to view the messages, that'd be a bit annoying. I mean, downloading an app that can only be used if you turn on WiFi? What about us paranoid hackers? :(

Another fail. Give us a real account system Nintendo. Pc games have had them forever! Nintendo your making the 3ds another jitterbug of the portable console market.

T.T
you're paranoid about being hacked through your 3DS?
