Hacking USBGX - HDD not recognised unless unplugged

HI Guys

Weird problem, hope you can help

Been using USBGX for a couple of years no worries at all.

Kids somehow managed to update Wii and I had to go down the route of reinstalling the softmod (following the modify any wii 4.3 and below)

All went fine, installed the latest channel.wad and now all we get is 'waiting for slow HDD', then it hangs on 'loading - loaded cIOS222 R65535' and needs a power down to clear it.

However if during the 'Waiting for slow HDD' screen I unplug the drive and plug it back in it boots the HDD straight away.

Try setting the global IOS to 249.

Cheers, the global (in USBGX I presume) is already set to 249

Any other ideas

May your using the IOS222 version of gx, make sure you have the IOS249 one.

I have the EXACT same issue mate, how do I go about installing the IOS249 version of USB Loader GX?? Or where can I get it?

Download this file . Then extract it & rename the IOS249.dol to boot.dol & copy it over the one in the app folder ,

Many thanks for that mate! Is this to be used when copying over during setup? I have my USB Loader GX setup as a channel? Is the method you described above for the setup I have?

Do you have a forwarder channel or full channel ?

If forwarder then put the boot.dol you make in either /apps/usbloader_gx or /apps/usbloadergx whichever you find in your sd.

If full channel then just download this & install the USBLoader_GX_V2_3_UNLR_Channel_AHBPROT.wad inside the wad folder .
