Bedbug War between me and them, need help!

I think where down to the wire, I bought a micro twil sofa bed about 4 months ago...and shortly after, say about two months I noticed bedbugs...I doubt they came with the couch which means some one brought them in from out side. I live over here in Seattle and was just wondering if any one happen to have a bed bug problem and what you did to get rid of it completely? there must be something I can do, I've tried bombing the room 3 times with foggers from some one called HOT SHOT and I bought their bug spray specifically for Bedbugs and their eggs. I could really use help, I woke up this morning with one running up the shit next to my pillow and found two babies and one other adult under the arm, I resprayed in the cracks and soak the nooks as well with the spray. I'm going to my apartments manager and demanding he sends some one out here to bomb and spray the insides, crack and nooks on the couch and to blow up the room!

sorry man, there is a problem where i live too with bedbugs, not in my apartment, but in the general area. a professional exterminator is probably the answer, i battled with fleas in my cats for a little while, it sucks to deal with bugs. i think i got them last time but since its a different parasite, doubt my method works for you. i got a flea powder for carpet, and completely covered every inch of the carpet with it. also dipped my cats, and combed them.

the foggers and sprays really don't work that well. a professional should be able to guarantee the work so if there is a continuing problem, they will come back at no charge.

Don't bomb the room again!

Bug bombs cause bedbugs to SCATTER AND HIDE, they do nothing towards getting rid of them. Bedbugs can live more than a year without food, and can hide in ANY crack or crevice where you live. If you live in an apartment building, you're basically screwed -- the females lay an average of 300 eggs that hatch in 10 days -- they will spread through your building faster than any other critter. A proper integrated treatment would have to be applied to the entire building -- and even then, there's no guarantee -- all it takes is for one to survive for them to propagate again. Generally once there's a bedbug infestation, you're doomed to live with them permanently.

If you live on your own, call in a pest control company that has experience with bedbug infestations. You may have to call around to find one you're comfortable with. It will take a lot of time and patience, so be prepared.

Your first step should be to get rid of the offending piece of furniture. You'll have a much better chance at getting them out of all their cracks and crevices once their main source of food has been removed. Don't bring in another bed until you're sure they're gone. Suck every crack, crevice, electrical outlet, hole, whatever you can find with a powerful vacuum cleaner before attempting any more poison as well.

I've had a small outbreak in my home several years ago. We got it under control, but it took a while.
Here's some tips:

Don't use bombs. They don't effect them well and they'll just hide.
Some of the sprays work, and some don't. Look up some reviews for the product you're using.
Don't give them a place to hide, and vacuum your bed often (especially the seams and lining of the mattress).
Clean sheets and pillowcases with hot water.
Use a plastic mattress cover if possible. It will really help.
Be patient and don't let up.

Nah, just kidding. I think there are products you can use to drive them away, or, worst case scenario, there are companies based around killing the things. It will probably cost quite a bit, but if there are no other options...

well this out break is a very small one...and the foggers we used did kill a good chunk of them which is weird from everything I've heard about fogging...but none the less we have exterminator coming with a trained sniffing dog thats been trained to specificly search out bed bugs no matter the size or egg! Will Find these bastards, This is War, Tonight and every other night, We dine in HELL!!!

Oh and to all those who recommend throwing out the furniture, it is not recommended to do that by any exterminator I called up like 10 to see what can be done and what they will most likely be doing when they get here! Bedbugs can be killed 100% there was an apartment down the street that had a severe infestation all over the walls and stuff and they killed every last one eggs included using this Heater. Heated the room to like 130 to 160 degrees so in a way they nuked the hell out of them!

This is strange but I watched a show last night about them on discovery channel. One Adult female can lay 50k eggs in the space of her lifetime. So All it takes is for you to miss out one female and you are back to square one again and she lays at least 5 eggs every single day that hatch quickly.

I'm afraid the only option according to the show is to hire professionals and throw out your infested sofa and beds.
